Insulet establishes Riyadh Regional Headquarters to accelerate Omnipod 5 expansion in Middle East

The new office will host Insulet’s full regional leadership and operational teams, serving as the company’s central hub for clinical collaboration, partner development, market access initiatives, and talent investment across the region.

SAUDI ARABIA—Insulet Corporation has officially opened its Middle East and North Africa regional headquarters in Riyadh, marking a major step in the company’s strategy to deepen its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing diabetes care markets.

The new office will host Insulet’s full regional leadership and operational teams, serving as the company’s central hub for clinical collaboration, partner development, market access initiatives, and talent investment across the region.

The move comes as Saudi Arabia continues to grapple with one of the highest diabetes prevalence rates globally, placing advanced diabetes management solutions high on the Kingdom’s healthcare agenda.

As the country advances its healthcare transformation efforts under Vision 2030, Insulet is positioning itself as a long-term partner in expanding access to innovative diabetes technologies.

Bernard Brisolier, General Manager for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey at Insulet, described the Riyadh headquarters as one of the company’s most significant regional commitments to date.

He noted that the new base enables Insulet to build stronger partnerships with Saudi Arabia’s healthcare ecosystem through collaborative work on care pathways, clinical education, patient access programs, and digital health integration.

Launch event highlights regional commitment

To commemorate the opening, Insulet hosted a high-level launch event in Saudi Arabia on May 8, bringing together leading clinicians and healthcare professionals for expert-led discussions focused on the early adoption of the Omnipod 5 system.

The event explored how real-world clinical evidence is shaping diabetes care practices in Saudi Arabia and highlighted the role of advanced insulin delivery technologies in improving outcomes for patients with type 1 diabetes.

The opening also follows a strong period of growth for Insulet globally.

The company recently reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of US$761.7 million, representing a 33.9% year-over-year increase, while raising its full-year guidance as international demand for its Omnipod platform continues to accelerate

Omnipod 5 gains momentum in the Gulf

At the center of Insulet’s regional expansion is the Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System, its flagship wearable insulin delivery platform designed to simplify daily diabetes management.

The waterproof and tubeless device automatically adjusts insulin delivery every five minutes, helping users improve time-in-range and reduce HbA1c levels while eliminating the need for multiple daily injections.

The system integrates with compatible continuous glucose monitoring sensors, including Abbott FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus and Dexcom G7, in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the UAE.

Dr. Mohammed Al Mehthel, Medical Director and Diabetes Technology Section Head at the Obesity, Endocrinology and Metabolism Center at King Fahad Medical City, said the launch addresses growing demand for advanced diabetes technology across the region.

He emphasized that as clinical standards evolve toward technology-enabled care, Omnipod 5 offers patients and families a meaningful improvement in diabetes management.

The platform is supported by Insulet’s Discover data management system, which gives clinicians structured insights to support more proactive treatment decisions across patient populations.

Insulet first introduced Omnipod 5 and Discover to Middle Eastern markets in February 2026, making the Riyadh headquarters a natural next step in scaling adoption across the Gulf.
