Abu Dhabi to host global health leaders in April 2025

 

UAE—The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi has announced the upcoming Abu Dhabi Global Health Week (ADGHW) 2025.

This pivotal event will bring together prominent leaders in the health and well-being industry for three days of collaborative dialogue and action from April 15 to 17.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, this year’s event is set to unite more than 200 speakers globally.

ADGHW 2025 is expected to attract more than 15,000 visitors, 1,900 delegates, 200 speakers, and 150 exhibitors from 90 countries.

This diverse gathering will facilitate a robust exchange of knowledge and forge strategic partnerships that drive meaningful progress in global health.

At the heart of the event is the Forum@ADGHW, a global platform where leaders from government, industry, research, and academia will come together to tackle critical healthcare challenges.

One of the highlights of ADGHW is the StartUp Zone, which will serve as a hub for innovation and collaboration.

Here, startups will have the opportunity to pitch their innovative ideas to investors, and the winners of the Smart Health Hackathon will be announced.

Additionally, the prestigious ADGHW Innovation Awards will recognize individuals and organizations driving innovation and collaboration, fostering a culture of excellence that will shape the future of health.

ADGHW is a major government initiative from the Department of Health and Abu Dhabi, focusing on the theme “Towards Longevity: Redefining Health and Well-being.”

It emphasizes community-driven health and well-being through a proactive approach centered around preventive, personalized, and holistic care.

The event will explore four core themes: Longevity and Precision Health, Health System Resilience & Sustainability, Digital Health & AI, and Investment in Life Sciences.

By convening diverse stakeholders from around the world, ADGHW aims to catalyze healthcare transformation.

Confirmed speakers include a range of distinguished figures, such as Anil Soni, CEO of the WHO Foundation; Dr. Jean Kaseya, Director General of the Africa Center for Diseases Control; Dr. Nir Barzilai, Director of the Institute for Aging Research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine; Michel Demaré, Chair of AstraZeneca; Sir Jonathan Symonds, Chair of the Board at GSK; Jacob Thaysen, CEO of Illumina; Elena Bonfiglioli, Global Business Leader at Microsoft; and Dr. Tomislav Mihaljevic, CEO of Cleveland Clinic.

These visionary leaders will be joined by health ministers from countries including Bahrain, Egypt, Nepal, and the Hellenic Republic.
