UAE — Abu Dhabi University (ADU) and Burjeel Holdings have entered into a strategic partnership through a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This collaboration aims to advance research in health sciences, enhance the academic experience for university students through practical expertise, and propel clinical studies within the UAE.

Dr. Hamad Odhabi, Vice Chancellor for Financial and Administrative Affairs at ADU, and Safeer Ahamed, Group COO of Burjeel Holdings, signed this MoU, with several officials in attendance.

One of the primary objectives of this partnership is to increase opportunities for both national and international grants for ADU students and faculty members.

This initiative aims to improve academic excellence and stimulate innovation by fostering collaborative research projects.

Furthermore, the inauguration of innovative labs under this partnership is expected to bolster ADU’s reputation as a hub for cutting-edge discoveries.

In his address during the signing ceremony, Dr. Odhabi emphasized Abu Dhabi University’s ongoing commitment to investing in its research capabilities, aligning with the UAE’s vision of building a knowledge-based economy.

He noted that by leveraging Burjeel Holdings’ leading expertise in healthcare, coupled with the university’s world-class academic excellence, they aim to elevate research standards in the field of health sciences.

This synergy is anticipated to drive substantial advancements in healthcare research and education.

On his part, Safeer Ahamed highlighted the unparalleled training opportunities that this partnership will offer to health sciences students.

He emphasized that equipping a new generation of healthcare professionals with the requisite knowledge and skills is crucial for driving excellence and innovation in the field.

This collaboration is designed not only to benefit students but also to enhance the overall quality of healthcare education and practice within the UAE.

Moreover, the partnership aims to nurture community knowledge by providing extended programs focusing on higher education and skill development initiatives.

ADU and Burjeel Holdings plan to organize conferences, workshops, seminars, and academic training programs.

These events will delve into the latest developments and best practices in health sciences, thereby enriching the educational landscape and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Additionally, the MoU will utilize ADU’s leading academic facilities to conduct lectures and training workshops aimed at improving Burjeel Holdings’ human resources and administrative practices.

This aspect of the partnership underscores both institutions’ mutual benefits and shared goals.

Burjeel Holdings will also offer internship opportunities across its facilities in the UAE, providing ADU students with the practical skills necessary for their future careers in healthcare.

These internships are designed to give students in-depth exposure to real-world healthcare environments, thereby bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
