UAE—The United Arab Emirates—Abu Dhabi has announced an update about the second edition of the Abu Dhabi Global Health Week (ADGHW).
This event is scheduled to take place from April 15 to 17, 2025, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
The event, organized by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), aims to redefine health and well-being under the theme “Towards Longevity: Redefining Health and Well-being.”
It will bring together over 15,000 participants, including 200 speakers, 1,900 delegates, and 325 exhibitors from 90 countries.
ADGHW serves as a global platform for collaboration among policymakers, researchers, innovators, and investors to address critical healthcare challenges.
The event will focus on advancing longevity science and precision medicine while promoting innovation in AI-powered diagnostics and genomics-based healthcare.
Key topics will be organized around four thematic pillars: Longevity and Precision Health, Health System Resilience & Sustainability, Digital Health & AI, and Investment in Life Sciences.
The initiative comes at a crucial time when global life expectancy has reached 71 years, yet many people spend nearly a decade in poor health due to chronic diseases.
Abu Dhabi’s efforts aim to narrow the gap between lifespan and healthspan through personalized healthcare approaches.
The emirate has already made significant strides by licensing the Institute for Healthier Living Abu Dhabi (IHLAD), the world’s first Healthy Longevity Medicine Centre.
This facility employs AI-driven solutions to extend healthy lifespans, manage chronic diseases, and support mental well-being.
During ADGHW, attendees can expect key highlights including the launch of a global consensus document on longevity and precision medicine, commitments from international stakeholders to advance AI-driven healthcare solutions, and frameworks for integrating genomics into mainstream medical practice.
Additionally, policy recommendations for ethical and equitable medical advancements will be unveiled.
Abu Dhabi’s emphasis on innovation is further demonstrated through initiatives like the Healthy Longevity Innovation Forum and introducing a regulatory framework for longevity-focused medical centers.
With strategic investments in life sciences and cutting-edge technologies like AI, Abu Dhabi is positioning itself as a global leader in healthcare transformation.
The event promises to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, spark innovation, and create actionable strategies for advancing global health.
By uniting diverse stakeholders under its vision of healthier communities worldwide, ADGHW is paving the way for a sustainable future in healthcare.
