Acorn Research unveils AI Healthcare Innovation Lab at Arab Health 2025

UAE—Dubai-based healthcare advisory and technology firm Acorn Research has launched its groundbreaking AI Healthcare Innovation Lab during Arab Health 2025.

Located in Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), this state-of-the-art facility is set to transform healthcare delivery in the UAE, the MENA region, and beyond.

The new lab focuses on advancing value-based healthcare (VBHC) by leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance patient care and optimize healthcare systems.

It will serve as a collaborative hub, bringing together healthcare professionals, policymakers, and AI experts to develop scalable solutions that improve patient outcomes, optimize resource allocation, and standardize medical guidelines and care pathways.

This initiative aligns with the UAE’s vision of fostering a world-class healthcare system and strengthening Dubai’s position as a global leader in medical innovation.

It also supports the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) by integrating digital transformation and technological advancements to enhance the quality of life in Dubai.

Ameera Youssef, CEO of Acorn Research, emphasized the company’s commitment to shifting from reactive to proactive healthcare.

She stated that the AI Healthcare Innovation Lab embodies this vision by harnessing data-driven solutions to place patients at the center of healthcare transformation.

She also highlighted how the lab will empower healthcare providers, support insurance payors, and help policymakers build a more resilient healthcare ecosystem.

Jaffar Bin Jaffar, Director of Partnerships at Dubai Healthcare City Authority, noted that the establishment of the AI Healthcare Innovation Lab reinforces DHCC’s reputation as a hub for healthcare excellence and innovation.

He added that by encouraging collaboration among industry leaders, the initiative strengthens Dubai’s global leadership in AI-driven healthcare while setting new benchmarks for the sector.

The AI Healthcare Innovation Lab is set to revolutionize the healthcare industry by focusing on key areas that enhance patient care, streamline processes, and improve efficiency.

One of its main priorities is developing Value-Based Healthcare (VBHC) Platforms, which align patient outcomes with healthcare delivery and payment models, ensuring better care at lower costs.

The lab will also work on Real-Time Clinical Decision Support, using AI-driven, evidence-based guidelines to assist doctors in making informed medical decisions.

Another key focus is AI Genome Analysis, which aims to advance precision medicine by enabling personalized treatments, early disease prediction, and targeted prevention strategies.

To improve financial planning, the lab is developing Predictive Budgeting & Resource Allocation tools that help healthcare facilities manage resources efficiently and predict life expectancy trends.

Additionally, it will enhance transparency and reduce fraud through National & Payor Claims Audit Tools, streamlining insurance reimbursements and ensuring fair practices.

The lab is also committed to improving patient experience with Patient-Centric VBHC Tools, integrating Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) and Patient-Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) into care pathways for continuous quality improvement.

The initiative will support Population Health Management, leveraging data-driven strategies to improve public health outcomes and reduce overall healthcare costs.

Acorn Research began its operations in Dubai Healthcare City and has since expanded, reflecting DHCC’s commitment to fostering a thriving business ecosystem for healthcare innovation.
