Agilus Diagnostics opens its new Bongaigaon lab amid strategy shift

INDIA – Agilus Diagnostics, formerly SRL Diagnostics, has unveiled a new state-of-the-art laboratory in Bongaigaon in the Indian state of Assam.

SRL Diagnostics, a Fortis Healthcare Limited subsidiary, rebranded to Agilus Diagnostics, signaling the next stage in the company’s growth trajectory.

In a press statement, Agilus Diagnostics said: “With a monthly processing capacity of over 25,000 samples, the new laboratory offers a broad spectrum of tests, including routine and specialized tests.”

The launch of this new laboratory follows the inauguration of the company’s ultramodern laboratory in Tanda in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

The opening of the ultramodern laboratory in Himachal Pradesh presents a unique opportunity for Agilus Diagnostics to expand its presence in the Indian subcontinent.

The Tanda-based lab complements the high-quality services offered by existing branches and shares the responsibility of providing diagnostic testing services to the residents of Himachal Pradesh and the nearby areas.

Commenting on the latest launch, Anand K, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Agilus Diagnostics, stated: “Our new lab in Bongaigaon will help us to not only improve the turnaround time on reports but also strengthens our position in the state of Assam.”

Agilus Diagnostics has embarked on countrywide expansion as part of a strategy to address the growing demand for high-quality diagnostic services in the region.

As part of its ongoing strategic expansion, Agilus Diagnostics is implementing and incorporating new technology at its diagnostic facilities to adapt to ever-evolving customer needs.

With the extension, Agilus Diagnostics’ nationwide city presence has grown to include various value-added services like ordering tests through the company’s website and intuitive mobile app, alongside receiving diagnostic reports through WhatsApp and other platforms.

Residents of Bongaigaon now have access to the company’s extensive test menu, which encompasses over 3,000 tests and various preventive healthcare packages.

Spanning over 2,00 square feet, the new Bongaigaon-based laboratory comprises multiple divisions, including Hematology, Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Serology, and Microbiology.

“We believe that our comprehensive test menu will help the local citizens and doctors to access a large number of tests,” highlighted Anand K.

It is worth highlighting that Agilus Diagnostics has taken the initial steps to raise capital through an initial public offering (IPO) by filing preliminary papers with the capital markets regulator Sebi.
