INDIA – Agilus Diagnostics, formerly SRL Diagnostics, has opened the doors of its new ultramodern laboratory in Tanda in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
Additionally, Agilus Diagnostics is implementing and incorporating new technology at its diagnostic facilities to adapt to ever-evolving customer needs.
The launch of the new laboratory in Himachal Pradesh presents a unique opportunity for Agilus Diagnostics to expand its presence in the Indian subcontinent.
Sitting a total land area of 3,000 square feet, the well-equipped laboratory has multiple divisions including Hematology, Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Serology, and Microbiology.
In a press release, Anand K, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Agilus Diagnostics said: “Agilus Diagnostics had been catering to the populace in Himachal Pradesh for over a decade through a public-private partnership (PPP) project with the state government.”
The advanced laboratory can process over 30,000 samples in a month ranging from simple routine tests to semi-specialised and specialised tests.
The new facility will complement the high-quality services offered by existing branches and share the responsibility of providing diagnostic testing services to the residents of Himachal Pradesh and the nearby areas.
“We are excited to expand our services through our laboratory facilities. In addition, we believe that our expansive test menu will help the local citizens and doctors to access a large number of tests,” stated Anand K.
This strategic move comes shortly after SRL Diagnostics, a full-fledged subsidiary of Mumbai-listed hospital chain Fortis Healthcare, has rebranded to Agilus Diagnostics.
