Al Hilal launches Premier Hospital in Bahrain after acquisition

This modern facility now stands as the group’s 10th branch and marks its second hospital in the kingdom, further expanding Al Hilal’s footprint in Bahrain’s healthcare sector.

BAHRAIN—Al Hilal Healthcare Group, recognized as Bahrain’s largest private healthcare provider, has made a significant move by acquiring Middle East Hospital in Segaya and relaunching it as Al Hilal Premier Hospital.

 This modern facility now stands as the group’s 10th branch and marks its second hospital in the kingdom, further expanding Al Hilal’s footprint in Bahrain’s healthcare sector.

The official announcement was made during a press event held at the newly rebranded Al Hilal Premier Hospital.

The gathering brought together the group’s top leadership, including managing directors Dr. P A Mohammed and Mr. Abdul Latheef, chief executive Dr. Sharath Chandran, vice president of business and strategy Asif Mohammed, finance manager Sahal Jamaludheen, and Dr. Amer Al Derazi, who also serves as president of the Bahrain Medical Society.

The event was attended by media representatives, influencers, and industry leaders, underscoring the importance of this acquisition for the local healthcare community.

During the event, the group unveiled a new logo and released a teaser video, symbolizing the start of a new chapter for the hospital.

Al Hilal Healthcare Group emphasized that this acquisition is part of its ongoing commitment to improving the quality, accessibility, and diversity of healthcare services across Bahrain.

The group highlighted that Al Hilal Premier Hospital is set to introduce a new era of exceptional healthcare, offering advanced surgical procedures, a highly skilled team of doctors and surgeons, and outstanding customer service-all under one roof.

The hospital, equipped with 65 beds, will provide a broad spectrum of specialized services.

These include cardiology, gastroenterology, urology, general medicine, general surgery, bariatric surgery, pediatrics, ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat), obstetrics and gynecology, dentistry, orthopedics, internal medicine, neurology, neurosurgery, and more.

Patients can expect cutting-edge treatments and personalized care delivered by experienced medical professionals.

With a strong focus on patient care, the hospital aims to meet the diverse healthcare needs of Bahrain’s population.

Dr. Mohammed expressed his pride in announcing what he described as the largest healthcare acquisition in Bahrain, noting that this step significantly strengthens the group’s operational capabilities.

He reiterated the group’s goal of enhancing the healthcare experience for the community by investing in the latest technologies and infrastructure, ensuring both high-quality service and operational efficiency.

Mr. Latheef shared the group’s excitement about integrating Al Hilal Premier Hospital into its network.

He emphasized their vision to provide state-of-the-art healthcare and ensure every patient receives world-class care.

He also noted that Al Hilal Healthcare Group currently manages over 7,000 patients daily and plans to open two additional facilities in Bahrain within the year, aiming to introduce even more advanced healthcare solutions.

Dr. Chandran took the opportunity to thank Bahrain’s leadership and health authorities for their support, stating that the expansion of Al Hilal’s network contributes to the ongoing development of the kingdom’s healthcare sector and sets new standards in medical care and patient satisfaction.

The event concluded with expressions of gratitude to the media and influencers for their continued support, and guests were invited to a high tea to celebrate the launch.
