EGYPT – Alameda Healthcare Group has joined forces with Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited to increase the use of proton beam radiotherapy in the treatment of cancers in Egypt.

Two key hospitals of Alameda Healthcare, As-Salam International Hospital, and Dar Al Fouad Hospital, are the newest Apollo Hospitals’ partners in collaborative efforts to expand access to cancer care.

As-Salam International Hospital and Dar Al Fouad Hospital will leverage the full potential of proton beam radiotherapy to ensure that cancer patients receive optimal healthcare service.

Commenting on the association with Apollo Hospitals, Alameda Healthcare said: “The Group’s patients will receive exceptional referrals and hassle-free processes to benefit from the unrivaled proton therapy.”

This agreement between the two mega organizations is set to expand patient’s access to proton beam therapy, one of the most advanced and cutting-edge technologies, for cancer treatments.

Proton beam therapy offers a wide range of clinical benefits in comparison to conventional radiation therapy.

Proton beam therapy, unlike conventional radiation therapy, delivers a precise dose of radiation directly to cancerous tumors without harming surrounding healthy tissues.

This revolutionary technology offers advantages like higher radiation doses to tumors, reducing side effects, and treating hard-to-reach tumors near vital organs.

Under the new agreement, patients with cancer in Egypt will benefit from this advanced and highly precise radiation treatment for tumors.

Proton beam therapy will be used at As-Salam International Hospital and Dar Al Fouad Hospital to destroy cancerous cells, spare healthy tissues, and deliver powerful cancer treatment.

Recognizing the benefits of radiation treatments, Alameda Healthcare stated: “Bringing proton therapy in Egypt signifies a monumental leap forward in cancer treatment.”

Proton beam therapy will also help to enhance the treatment services at Alameda Healthcare’s Center of Excellence (CoE) as the organization seeks to bring in the expertise of several specialties under one roof.

Alameda Healthcare’ CoE is staffed by high-caliber and subspecialized onco-surgeons, pathologists, clinical oncologists, specialized nurses, and other health professionals.

With the help of proton beam therapy, experts at Alameda hospitals will be empowered to further provide state-of-the-art care to patients in line with international standards.

It aligns with the group’s vision to be the largest general and specialized healthcare provider across Egypt and the Middle East and Africa regions.

This news comes shortly after Alameda Healthcare entered into a strategic agreement with Roche to bring cutting-edge diagnostics, enhance patient experiences, and drive progress in the Egyptian healthcare sector.

Through this partnership, Roche is set to debut the Oncology Patient Support Program in private Egyptian hospitals through Alameda Healthcare Group.

The Oncology Patient Support Program’s key focus areas include early cancer detection, reduced patient costs, and improved outcomes.

Leveraging the power of Artificial Intelligence through Roche, Alameda Healthcare aims to enhance the early detection of cancer and deliver accurate, timely, and patient-centered diagnostic results.
