UAE – Amanat Holdings has appointed Dr. Howard Podolsky as the new Group Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center (CMRC).
Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, a leading post-acute care and rehabilitation provider in the UAE and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a part of Amanat’s healthcare platform.
The main mandate of Amanat Holdings is to establish, acquire, and integrate companies in the healthcare and education sectors in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The company develops, manage, and operates integrated companies in the healthcare and education sectors within the MENA region and beyond.
Welcoming the incoming Group CEO of CMRC, Amanat Holdings Chairman, Hamad Alshamsi, said: “Dr. Howard Podolsky will be instrumental in executing our ambitious growth strategy at CMRC, and helping drive forward Amanat’s value creation strategy.”
Dr. Howard Podolsky has a unique fit and profile for the role of Group CEO of Cambridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center having a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare sector in the UAE.
He will also be responsible for overseeing the real estate assets of Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
With over 25 years of experience in the healthcare sector, Dr. Howard has progressed through various functions across executive management, clinical leadership, and healthcare regulations.
Before his current stint at Amanat Holdings, Dr. Howard Podolsky served as the Group Chief of Staff for SEHA (Abu Dhabi Health Services, PJSC).
He previously served as the Vice President, Medical Underwriting, for American General Life Companies, a subsidiary of American International Group, Inc. (AIG).
On his part, Hamad Alshamsi stated: “Dr. Howard Podolsky is a seasoned healthcare executive who brings decades of experience, both from his previous nine years at CMRC and his previous senior role at SEHA.”
As a pioneering healthcare leader, Dr. Howard developed the first physician-led Accountable Care Organization in the United States.
He also served as corporate Chief Medical Officer and Chief Quality Officer for several national healthcare organizations in the United States.
Dr. Howard achieved his Doctor of Medicine from the State of Buffalo, New York, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
Besides being a doctoral degree holder, he earned his Juris Doctor of Law from St. Louis University School of Law (Dean Scholar).
He also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Olin School of Business, Washington University in St. Louis (Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society).
Commenting on his elevation, Cambridge Medical & Rehabilitation Centre Group CEO, Dr. Howard Podolsky, expressed his excitement about returning to the company to lead it through its next stage of growth.
The leadership change comes after Amanat Holdings entered into a partnership with Mada International Holding to collaborate on Ministry of Health Public-Private Partnership projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Amanat Holdings and Mada International Holding have joined forces to expand and enhance post-acute care across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“My focus will be on continuing to grow our business in the long-term care sector in the UAE and KSA, where we are already adding c.300 additional beds in order to help address an estimated 17,000 bed supply gap,” stated Dr. Howard Podolsky.
