USA- Cardinal Health has announced that Jason Hollar has been chosen by the board of directors to take over as the organization’s CEO effective September 1, 2022.

Hollar, a seasoned financial and operating executive, has led all financial operations at Cardinal Health since May 2020 when he was appointed Chief Finance Officer.

He has worked with Cardinal Health to prioritize investments in expanding companies, improve the balance sheet, and return money to shareholders.

Hollar formerly worked for an American automotive components’ original equipment manufacturer, Tenneco as its Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President before joining Cardinal Health.

Prior to that, Hollar held the positions of Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Sears Holdings Corporation.

Patricia English, the current Chief Accounting Officer and Senior Vice President of Cardinal Health will take over CFO responsibilities on an interim basis in order to guarantee a smooth transition.

The Board of Cardinal Health will hire a search firm to review applicants for the job of permanent Chief Financial Officer.

Hollar commented that he genuinely appreciates the Board’s faith in him to assist the company to prepare itself for expansion in the future.

He highlighted that Cardinal Health is going through a change right now, and he is grateful for the chance to run a company that is so important to the healthcare system.

The outgoing CEO, Kaufmann said that he appreciated having the opportunity to work with such a great, committed, and committed staff over the past three decades.

He concluded that it was such an honor to be the CEO of Cardinal Health for the past five years and felt certain that Jason will be an excellent leader for Cardinal Health in the future.
