Apex Health to implement InterSystems TrakCare for unified EMR system

TrakCare will provide Apex Health with a single, comprehensive electronic medical record (EMR) system covering clinical, administrative, and financial data.

UAE— Apex Health, a subsidiary of Estithmar Holding in the UAE, has taken a major step toward digital healthcare advancement by signing a strategic agreement with InterSystems.

The deal aims to implement InterSystems’ TrakCare, a unified health information system designed to improve patient care and streamline healthcare operations.

The agreement was formalized in a signing ceremony at Apex Health’s headquarters, where Joseph Hazel, Group CEO of Apex Health, and Ali Abi Raad, Managing Director for the Middle East, India, and South Africa at InterSystems, joined to confirm the partnership.

This collaboration represents a significant milestone in Apex Health’s digital transformation journey.

TrakCare will provide Apex Health with a single, comprehensive electronic medical record (EMR) system covering clinical, administrative, and financial data.

This centralized platform allows healthcare professionals to access patient information easily and securely, enabling faster, safer decision-making and better coordination of care across facilities.

By integrating all relevant data, the system supports a seamless patient experience throughout the healthcare network.

Joseph Hazel explained that digital transformation is a core part of Apex Health’s strategic goals to enhance healthcare quality in the region.

He emphasized that working with InterSystems and adopting TrakCare will equip clinicians with real-time, data-driven insights.

This capability ensures personalized and patient-centered care, which aligns with the company’s mission to deliver safe and excellent healthcare services.

Hazel also highlighted that leveraging technology and innovation remains essential to shaping a healthier future for the communities Apex Health serves.

From InterSystems’ perspective, Ali Abi Raad described the partnership as a critical step in their regional growth strategy.

He praised Apex Health for setting high standards in patient care and clinical excellence.

The deployment of TrakCare will initially support clinical and operational needs at The View Hospital and Korean Medical Center, helping to enhance service quality and efficiency at these facilities.

Additionally, Abi Raad noted that this project lays the groundwork for Apex Health’s expansion across Qatar and the wider Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The scalable, interoperable platform will enable the quick integration of new healthcare facilities, creating a repeatable model that supports ongoing growth.

The implementation also includes advanced features to improve interoperability and real-time data access, with future capabilities planned for analytics and system integrations.

This adaptability ensures that the TrakCare platform will continue to meet evolving clinical and operational requirements as Apex Health grows.
