SAUDI ARABIA— Aster DM Healthcare, one of the largest healthcare providers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, has been officially recognized as a Great Place to Work® in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, and Qatar.

This prestigious certification highlights Aster’s dedication to creating a positive and empowering workplace culture for its employees across multiple countries.

Just a month prior, Aster’s facility in Oman also received the Great Place to Work® certification for the Middle East, including the Sultanate of Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

This recent recognition further confirms Aster’s ongoing commitment to fostering a supportive work environment where employees feel valued, motivated, and proud to contribute to the organization’s mission.

At the heart of Aster’s success are its core values: Passion, Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Unity, and Respect.

These principles guide the company’s efforts to place its people first. Aster’s brand promise, “We’ll Treat You Well,” extends beyond patient care to include its workforce.

The company actively recognizes employee achievements, invests in skill development, and encourages open communication, creating an inclusive atmosphere where staff can thrive.

Aster’s culture of listening ensures that feedback from frontline employees directly influences workplace policies and improvements.

This ongoing dialogue helps maintain a work environment that supports professional growth and well-being.

Through these initiatives, Aster remains committed to empowering its team to deliver the highest quality healthcare.

Alisha Moopen, managing director and group CEO of Aster DM Healthcare, emphasized that their people are the company’s greatest strength.

She stated that this certification validates the positive culture they have built and continue to nurture daily.

Moopen also reaffirmed the company’s dedication to fostering a workplace that inspires and supports every employee, aligning their personal growth with the organization’s broader goals.

Adding to this, Mohamed Alshamari, CEO of Aster Hospitals & Clinics in Saudi Arabia, highlighted the link between a healthy workplace culture and exceptional patient care.

He described the certification as proof of their commitment to creating an environment where employees feel recognized and have opportunities to advance.

As Aster expands in Saudi Arabia, the company plans to invest further in its workforce, especially by enhancing career opportunities for Saudi nationals and building a diverse and inclusive team.

With over 15,000 employees across the GCC, Aster is one of the region’s largest healthcare employers.

In Saudi Arabia alone, the company operates Aster Sanad Hospital in Riyadh and 16 pharmacies supported by its digital health platform, myAster.

Impressively, 76% of Aster’s workforce rated the company as a great place to work, reflecting a strong sense of community developed over nearly four decades.

Jacob Jacob, group chief human resources officer, noted that employees are Aster’s biggest competitive advantage.

He described the certification as a testament to the trust, respect, and growth opportunities cultivated within the company.

Jacob added, “This is just the beginning as we remain committed to nurturing our people’s well-being and supporting their professional journeys.”

Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place to Work®, explained that the certification is a highly respected achievement based on real-time employee feedback about company culture.

She praised Aster DM Healthcare for standing out as one of the top employers in the region, providing an excellent work environment.

Currently, Aster employs over 1,000 people in Saudi Arabia alone, all united by the mission to deliver accessible, affordable, and high-quality healthcare.

Looking ahead, the company plans to grow its workforce in the Kingdom, expand career opportunities for Saudi nationals, develop leadership programs, and support local health initiatives aligned with Saudi Arabia’s vision for a healthier future.
