UAE – Aster DM Healthcare, a leading integrated healthcare provider in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and India, is building a new 126-bed medical facility in the United Arab Emirates.
Aster DM Healthcare plans on opening the ultramodern Medcare Royal Hospital for patients in late 2023.
According to the company’s statement, the esteemed hospital will be operated by Medcare, a distinguished healthcare division of Aster DM Healthcare.
The upcoming Medcare Royal Hospital will be the fourth Medcare Hospital in Dubai and the fifth in the UAE overall, alongside 20 Medcare Medical Centres in the UAE.
In a press release, Aster DM Healthcare said: “The hospital will be backed by state-of-the-art infrastructure, advanced medical equipment and will be enabled with the latest technology platforms to support physicians in delivering superior care and treatment outcomes for patients.”
In the pilot phase, the new Medcare Royal Hospital will offer advanced care in Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology, Orthopaedics and Sports injuries, and Minimally Invasive Surgery.
Additional quaternary care services like Organ transplantation, Nuclear Medicine, and Oncology Radiation will be included in the hospital service offerings in the coming month after launch.
Spanning a mere 334,736 square feet, the project marks a significant step forward in the expansion of Aster DM Healthcare’s healthcare network in the UAE.
The Medcare Royal Hospital will offer advanced medical care covering complex procedures and treatments delivered by medical experts to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
On his part, Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman & Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare, disclosed: “We plan to introduce various tertiary care facilities in the new hospital, complementing our existing 9 hospitals, 101 clinics, and 241 pharmacies under Aster DM Healthcare in the country.”
He noted that the soon-to-be-launched Medcare Royal Hospital in Al Qusais underpins Aster DM Healthcare’s commitment to UAE’s Vision 2031.
Dr. Moopen further said that the new hospital construction project in Al Qusais will build on ongoing efforts to position the UAE among the top 10 countries in the world providing quality healthcare.
Being built in Al Qusais, the Emirate of Dubai, the new hospital will be strategically positioned close to the Dubai International Airport and premium residential communities to serve local, regional, and international clients.
This cutting-edge healthcare facility boasting a total of 126 beds is anticipated to help meet the growing demand for specialized health services among the affluent population in the Emirate of Dubai.
Commenting on this new venture, Dr. Azad Moopen said: “The strategic location, offering easy connectivity to the MENA region and Africa for over a billion people, will build on Dubai’s strategic endeavors to emerge as the top destination for medical tourism.”
The new hospital will house two structures comprising a parking building spanning six levels (G+6) and a modern main hospital building spanning three levels (G+3).
It is part of the healthcare provider’s strategic objectives of bringing best-in-class clinical expertise matched with premium and quality care services closer to the patients it serves, aligning with Aster DM Healthcare’s brand promise – ‘We’ll Treat You Well’.
As part of this construction plan, Aster DM Healthcare has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Dubai Developments, the real estate arm of Dubai International Real Estate.
Dubai Developments will serve as the real estate developer, responsible for the day-to-day management of the new hospital construction project in Al Qusais.
Speaking on this project, H.E Engr. Essa Al Maidor, Director General of Dubai Developments, said: “Our overarching aim is to establish an exceptional healthcare facility that not only caters to the healthcare needs of the UAE populace but also provides a high-end journey for the patients to facilitate their experiences.”
Engr. Essa Al Maidor underscored that the construction of the Medcare Royal Hospital will build on the UAE’s visionary objective for 2031 to establish the UAE as one of the foremost healthcare destinations globally.
He pointed out that the Medcare Royal Hospital in Al Qusais will be designed to focus on guests’ experience in the medical facility.
He explained that the main building’s contemporary structure will be particularly designed to welcome guests with an expansive and prestigious lobby, leading to different departments and sections within the hospital.
Engr. Essa Al Maidor further said that as the developer behind this project, Dubai Developments aims to assume a pivotal role in elevating the UAE’s stature as the premier destination for medical treatments within the Gulf region.
