INDIA – Aster DM Healthcare Limited has pledged its commitment to accelerate the ongoing hospital construction projects in India to meet demand in the coming years.
According to the company’s press release, construction is continuing on a new 200-bed Aster Hospital in Kasaragod district in the state of Kerala, India.
Plans are underway to incorporate an additional 100 beds into two pre-existing hospitals, particularly Aster Hospital in the beautiful coastal city of Kannur and Aster Medcity in the city of Kochi.
Aster DM Healthcare is speeding up the hospital construction and renovation projects as part of the group’s strategic efforts to enhance its presence and impact in the Indian healthcare landscape.
On an official note, the healthcare service provider said: “The Phase-II construction of the 275-bed Aster Whitfield Hospital in Bengaluru is nearing completion, and progress on the 550-bed hospital in Trivandrum is well underway.”
These hospital construction and renovation projects come as Aster DM Healthcare’s hospitals across India are operating at near-full capacity.
It is a clear demonstration of the trust and confidence that patients place in the exceptional healthcare services that Aster DM Healthcare delivers.
The publicly-traded multinational for-profit hospital conglomerate healthcare company plans to expand its capacity by adding a significant number of beds in the coming months.
As a leading healthcare provider, the multinational company continues to invest in the growth of the Indian healthcare sector, while prioritizing patient care, technological innovation, and sustainable solutions.
“Aster DM Healthcare is unwavering in its commitment to providing world-class healthcare services in India and remains focused on its ongoing projects,” reported the Indian healthcare chain.
With an inherent emphasis on clinical excellence, Aster DM Healthcare is one of the few entities in the world with a strong presence across primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary healthcare.
The group operates 32 hospitals, 127 clinics, and 521 pharmacies, including 257 pharmacies in India operated by Alfaone Retail Pharmacies Private Limited under brand license from Aster, alongside 205 labs and patient experience centers in seven countries.
To cater to the growing healthcare demand in India, Aster DM Healthcare is speeding up the construction works on new hospitals and pre-existing hospital renovation projects.
The accelerated construction projects follow Aster DM Healthcare’s acquisition of a majority stake of 57.5% in Ramesh Hospitals, with an investment of around US$2,440,043 (₹200 crores).
The strategic investment has resulted in the addition of 710 beds to Aster DM Healthcare’s existing capacity, bringing the total count to 4,317.
