OMAN—Badr Al Samaa Royal Hospital (BRH), the flagship premium hospital of the Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, has officially opened its doors in Al Ghubra, Muscat.
This state-of-the-art hospital in the Sultanate of Oman’s private healthcare sector has been created to provide exceptional healthcare in a luxurious and serene setting, as BRH aspires to set a new standard for medical services in the region.
Several high-profile dignitaries attended the inauguration ceremony, including HE Dr. Ahmed Salim Saif Al Mandhari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Planning and Health Organization, who was the chief guest.
HE Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board of Directors, was the guest of honor.
The event was also attended by Dr. Muhanna bin Nasser bin Rashid Al Musalhi, Director General of Private Health Institutions, MoH, along with the Managing Directors of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, Abdul Latheef and Dr. P A Mohammed, Executive Directors Moiden Bilal and Firasath Hassan, and various other notable figures from both the private and government sectors.
The presence of top corporate and insurance company executives, senior management from the Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, and media personnel highlighted the significance of this milestone in Oman’s private healthcare sector.
At a media conference, Abdul Latheef, Managing Director of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, elaborated on the vision behind this resource-intensive project.
He emphasized that the group’s philosophy is to revolutionize the private healthcare sector in Oman, significantly contributing to the goals of Vision 2040.
According to Latheef, BRH has been designed to ensure that no one in Oman would need to travel abroad for advanced medical treatments, thanks to its state-of-the-art technology and highly qualified medical professionals capable of performing complex procedures and surgeries.
He added that BRH’s in-country value proposition aims to save patients’ time and money, reducing the number of patients traveling abroad for treatment by 30%.
Dr. P A Mohammed, also a Managing Director of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, highlighted that BRH will house seven centers of excellence.
These centers will focus on Gastrointestinal Digestive Health, Surgical and Advanced Endoscopy, Minimal Access Surgery, Urology, Uro-Oncology and Andrology, Orthopedics, Joint Replacements and Spine Surgeries, Mother and Child care, and Emergency and Critical Care.
He expressed pride in having a team that includes many senior Omani consultants and prominent visiting doctors from India and other countries, ensuring that complex and tertiary medical cases can be addressed within Oman.
During the event, Moiden Bilal, Executive Director of Badr Al Samaa Royal Hospitals, praised the team’s dedication in completing the hospital within a record time of one year.
He stressed that the hospital is ready to make a significant difference in the lives of patients in Oman.
Bilal reaffirmed the group’s commitment to bridging the private healthcare sector gaps by providing every necessary technology, facility, and specialist within the country.
Firasath Hassan, another Executive Director, noted that BRH builds on the 22-year legacy of its parent organization, the Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals.
BRH has established protocols inspired by leading healthcare accreditation bodies such as the Joint Commission International (USA) and the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) International to ensure top-quality patient care.
Hassan emphasized that BRH is dedicated to delivering fast, personalized services that prioritize patient comfort and relaxation, in addition to its luxurious ambiance and highly qualified doctors.
