SAUDI ARABIA – Saudi hospital group Almana has signed a new agreement with Bupa Arabia to extend in-network health insurance coverage to the new Aziziah Dammam Hospital.
The extended health insurance agreement was presided over by Mana Almana, Chief Executive Officer of Almana Group of Hospitals, and Rebhy Abodeeb, the Director of Contracting and Network Management at Bupa Arabia.
Under this new agreement, Bupa Arabia will provide benefits for a broad range of healthcare services offered at the Aziziah Dammam Hospital.
The expansion is anticipated to attract new patients living in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia that are enrolled in Bupa Arabia’s health insurance coverage.
In a press release, Almana Group of Hospitals said: “Patients under the Bupa Arabia insurance coverage can now benefit from the wide range of services that the new hospital offers.”
Almana Group of Hospitals is the first healthcare provider in the eastern region and one of the oldest and largest medical companies in the Kingdom.
Almana is part-owned by Sanabil Investments, a commercial investment company owned by the Saudi sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund (PIF).
The Saudi hospital group operates different ultramodern healthcare facilities across multiple locations in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia.
To improve access to essential health services, Almana Group of Hospitals is now accepting Bupa Arabia insurance at its newly launched hospital in Dammam.
Commenting on this joint effort, Rebhy Abodeeb, the Director of contracting and network management at Bupa Arabia, outlined: “Our company’s ethos is to provide personalized, comprehensive coverage that protects individuals and families in Saudi Arabia. Insured members will have access to a wide range of clinical services offered at various departments and special units housed with the new Aziziah Dammam Hospital.
The new agreement will grant patients access to a 24/7 emergency department, internal medicine department, general surgery department, pediatrics department, OB-GYN department, orthopedics department, cardiology department, urology department, pre – anesthesia department, a state-of-the-art laboratory, and pathology department.
Overall, the new agreement with Bupa Arabia underpins Almana Group of Hospitals’ vision to elevate the healthcare sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aligning with the Saudi Vision 2030.
The extended partnership with Bupa Arabia will allow Aziziah Dammam Hospital to offer comprehensive, accessible, and patient-centric healthcare to more patients living in the eastern region.
What’s more, the Almana Group of Hospitals is exploring opportunities for a new hospital outside of the eastern region within the next few years with the view to expanding into other areas.
The group is also seeking to partner with the Saudi Ministry of Health under public-private partnerships to deliver advanced and specialist services in the region.
