SAUDI ARABIA —Bupa CareConnect, the leading cooperative health insurance provider in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has recently announced the signing of four strategic partnership agreements with global health technology companies: GOQii, Comarch, Nuralogix, and We Healthify.
This announcement took place under the patronage of the Ministry of Health and Seha Virtual Hospital, and was attended by prominent leaders and experts in healthcare, innovation, and technology from around the world.
These partnerships are designed to broaden the range of digital health services and improve the quality of care available to members across the Kingdom.
The announcement coincided with Bupa CareConnect’s role as a Gold Sponsor at the 6th MENA Telehealth & Virtual Care Expo 2025, held recently in Riyadh.
This event serves as a key regional platform to accelerate digital transformation in healthcare and promote value-based virtual care models, supported by international organizations such as the World Health Organization and the American Telemedicine Association.
Bupa CareConnect’s participation follows its recent recognition by the Council of Health Insurance, where it received two prestigious awards: “Digital Innovation for Private Sector Providers” and “Innovative Sustainability for Private Sector Providers.”
Notably, Bupa CareConnect is the first private sector provider to earn these honors, highlighting its leadership in driving innovation and digital transformation within Saudi Arabia’s healthcare sector.
During the conference, Bupa Arabia showcased several of its cutting-edge digital solutions through Bupa CareConnect, including the Digital Clinic Pod and AI-powered intelligent care services, alongside its integrated digital healthcare application.
On the second day, Dr. Abdullah Khafagy, Executive Medical Director at Bupa CareConnect, delivered a keynote speech titled “Managing Virtual Care for Chronic Conditions.”
He shared insights on how Bupa Arabia leverages advanced digital technologies to enhance patient outcomes, spotlighting the “Bupa Pro” program, which removes the need for prior medical approvals, thereby speeding up access to care and improving the patient experience.
Dr. Khafagy emphasized that Bupa CareConnect’s involvement in the Virtual Healthcare Conference reaffirms its commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 through digital healthcare transformation.
He expressed pride in offering an integrated care model focused on easy access and high-quality treatment, utilizing modern technologies such as artificial intelligence to predict medical conditions and enable proactive, preventive healthcare.
