Burjeel Holdings expands primary care network with nine new clinics

UAE—Burjeel Holdings, a prominent healthcare provider in the MENA region, has unveiled plans to launch nine new primary care clinics in key locations in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Dubai.

This expansion aims to enhance the availability of comprehensive primary healthcare services, ultimately benefiting a wide range of demographic groups and improving health outcomes within the community.

The UAE’s healthcare strategy places a strong emphasis on primary care, recognizing its vital role in promoting preventive health measures and effectively managing chronic conditions through early diagnosis and timely treatment.

In line with this strategy, the new Burjeel clinics will offer an extensive range of healthcare services designed to meet the specific needs of various communities, including those in both residential and industrial areas.

These clinics are expected to significantly improve healthcare access and convenience by providing accessible, high-quality care close to patients’ homes and workplaces.

Furthermore, these new clinics will reinforce Burjeel Holdings’ established hub-and-spoke healthcare network.

This network, which is projected to handle over 300,000 outpatient visits annually, will drive cross-referrals between primary care clinics and Burjeel’s hospitals and day surgery centers.

This integrated approach allows patients with more complex medical needs to be referred to secondary, tertiary, or quaternary care centres for specialized treatment.

The new clinics will serve as community-based healthcare hubs, offering a wide array of services, including family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, dental care, and radiology.

With their strategic placement, these clinics will cater to the healthcare needs of diverse populations, particularly industrial workers and expatriates who may face challenges accessing care in traditional healthcare settings.

Burjeel Holdings has outlined plans for six clinics in Abu Dhabi, including Medeor Al Nahyan, LLH Najda, LLH Ghayati, Lifecare Al Mafraq, LLH Al Nasser, and LLH Razeen.

Additionally, two clinics will open in the Al Ain region (LLH Al Noud and LLH Al Hilal), and one clinic will be established in Dubai (LLH Dubai Investment Park).

Commenting on the expansion, John Sunil, Group CEO of Burjeel Holdings, expressed excitement about the launch of the new clinics.

He emphasized that this initiative is part of Burjeel’s ongoing efforts to broaden access to primary care across the UAE, reinforcing the group’s commitment to supporting the nation’s healthcare goals.

Mr. Sunil also highlighted the strategic location of the clinics, designed to serve the unique needs of the communities they will serve, with a particular focus on improving healthcare access for industrial workers and expatriates.

The expansion is backed by a significant AED 20 million (US$5.44 million) investment from Burjeel Holdings, with all nine clinics expected to be fully operational within the next two months.
