Burjeel Holdings expands women’s healthcare services with IVF

UAE—Burjeel Holdings PLC, a prominent healthcare provider in the MENA region, has unveiled plans to introduce IVF services as part of its broader strategy to enhance women’s and children’s healthcare offerings.

This expansion aims to boost the Group’s already extensive portfolio, which currently includes advanced gynecology, fetal medicine, and pediatric subspecialties.

With the integration of IVF services, Burjeel seeks to offer a more holistic and comprehensive approach to women’s healthcare, ensuring continuous care at every stage of a woman’s life.

The addition of IVF services will complement Burjeel’s existing expertise in women’s health and seamlessly integrate with its capabilities in advanced gynecology, fetal medicine, and pediatric subspecialties.

This will allow the Group to offer a smooth transition from conception through to delivery, creating a cohesive journey for women seeking maternal and neonatal care.

The new service will be housed within the Trust Fertility Clinic at Burjeel Medical City (BMC), Burjeel Holdings’ flagship facility.

This clinic will address fertility challenges, offering women a centralized location where they can access all necessary fertility treatments and care under one roof.

BMC is already home to several renowned medical centers, including the IFEM Endo Middle East Clinic, the Advanced Gynecology Institute, the Kypros Nicolaides Fetal Medicine and Therapy Center, and a state-of-the-art Obstetrics and Gynecology department.

The hospital also features dedicated Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units (NICU and PICU), ensuring the highest standards of care for both mothers and newborns.

This makes the addition of IVF services a natural extension of Burjeel’s commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare solutions for women.

According to Mr. John Sunil, the CEO of Burjeel Holdings, the UAE’s In-Vitro Fertilization market is undergoing rapid growth, driven by evolving social trends and advancements in reproductive technologies.

He emphasized that the introduction of fertility services further strengthens Burjeel’s women’s healthcare portfolio, positioning the Group to meet the increasing demand for such services in the region.

Mr. Sunil also highlighted the importance of delivering personalized, world-class care that leverages the latest technological advancements in reproductive medicine.

He noted that this expansion reflects Burjeel’s commitment to becoming a leader in holistic women’s healthcare in the region, empowering patients with the best possible care on their journey to parenthood.

The Trust Fertility Clinic is set to become the largest fertility center in the UAE, offering state-of-the-art fertility treatments.

The clinic will be led by Dr. Walid Sayed, a pioneering expert in reproductive endocrinology and infertility with over 29 years of experience.

Dr. Sayed has played a key role in shaping IVF regulations in the UAE and is regarded as a trusted authority in the field.

As the Medical Director of the Trust Fertility Clinic, Dr. Sayed noted that the clinic will be a critical component of Burjeel’s comprehensive women’s healthcare services, addressing the unique fertility challenges many families face.

He stressed that the clinic will focus on delivering personalized, evidence-based treatments incorporating the latest reproductive medicine advancements.

The clinic will provide a wide array of fertility treatments, including egg retrieval, AI-driven embryo selection, embryo transfer, fertility assessments, intrauterine insemination (IUI), IVF consultations, reproductive medicine consultations, and laparoscopic surgery for diagnosing and treating fertility-related conditions.

This addition will further strengthen Burjeel Medical City’s standing as a leading quaternary care center in the UAE, offering patients unparalleled access to world-class services in a single location.
