UAE – Private healthcare services provider Burjeel Holdings has launched a pioneering Head and Neck Institute at its flagship facility located in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Burjeel Medical City.

To elevate the patient experience and engagement, Burjeel Holdings inaugurated the new institute at Burjeel Medical City to expand its offerings in complex care and pediatric sub-specialties.
The Burjeel ENT Head and Neck Institute is designed to provide comprehensive and advanced services in the field of Otolaryngology (ENT) – Head and Neck Surgery.
The specialized services include otology-neurotology, rhinology, hearing implants, head and neck surgery, laryngology, pediatric otolaryngology, and complex adult-pediatric airway management.
Additionally, the new institute is staffed by a team of seasoned general physicians dedicated to providing services such as cochlear implants, sinus allergy treatments, and snoring treatment.
Other specialized services include advanced sinus and skull base surgery with stereotactic navigation, minimally invasive neck surgeries, complex head, and neck surgery for benign and malignant conditions, pediatric airway endoscopy, hearing aids, and treatments for balance disorders.
The Burjeel ENT Head and Neck Institute will also offer a range of specialized treatments and procedures to many patients in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Notably, the ribbon-cutting ceremony was graced by Her Excellency Dr. Bushra Al-Mulla, Director General of the Family Welfare Authority.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Colonel Dr. Mariam Al Nagbi, Head of the Ministry of Interior’s Medical Department, and Dr. Rashed Obaid Alsuwaidi, Executive Director of the Healthcare Workforce Planning Sector, Department of Health – Abu Dhabi.
The event was also attended by Mr. John Sunil, Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Burjeel Holdings, and Mr. Safeer Ahamed, Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Burjeel Holdings.

New Thyroid Parathyroid Center at the Institute
In addition to the newly launched Burjeel Head and Neck Institute, a Thyroid Parathyroid Center has been established as part of multidisciplinary team cooperation with the University of Kansas Medical Center, the United States of America.
This dedicated Thyroid Parathyroid Center at Burjeel ENT Head and Neck Institute is expected to provide comprehensive care for all thyroid-parathyroid disorders.
The Thyroid Parathyroid Center will deliver advanced treatments, including laser thyroid-nodule treatment, and minimally invasive endoscopic surgeries.
The ultramodern facility will also deliver complex and advanced surgery with neuromonitoring that will encompass the entire range of thyroid parathyroid conditions.
For his part, Dr. Yogesh More, Director of the Thyroid Parathyroid Center, highlighted the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach and cooperation with the University of Kansas, USA, in bringing world-class care to the MENA region.
