UAE – Burjeel Holdings, a United Arab Emirates-based regional healthcare service provider, has taken over the operations of Al Dhannah Hospital.
Under the new agreement, Burjeel Holdings is now responsible for all operations and maintenance of Al Dhannah Hospital located in the Al Dhafra region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The strategic move is expected to allow the Group to promote world-class services in the region by delivering patient-centered outcomes and coordinated care through clinically integrated operations.
In a press release, the Group said: “Burjeel Holdings has been awarded a contract to operate and manage Al Dhannah Hospital, which is owned by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).”
Burjeel Holdings had been accorded the rights to control operations of Al Dhannah Hospital under the new contract signed by the State-backed oil giant Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.
It extends the collaboration and builds on the significant progress made since the initial cooperation struck between Burjeel Holdings and ADNOC.
On his part, Mr. John Sunil, the Chief Executive Officer of Burjeel Holdings, said: “We are honored to deepen our collaboration with ADNOC by bringing our state-of-the-art healthcare services to the Al Dhafra region.”
By taking over Al Dhannah Hospital’s entire operations, Burjeel Holdings aims to enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare services to ADNOC employees, their families, and the community in Al Dhafra region.
Al Dhannah Hospital is one of the largest multi-specialty hospitals in the Al Dhafra region offering multi-specialty services such as occupational medicine, orthopedics, pediatrics, and emergency care.
The Abu Dhabi-based healthcare facility has a team of more than 55 physicians covering more than 25 specialties.
Al Dhannah Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) and the hospital’ Emergency Department is accredited by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH).
The ADNOC-owned facility ensures maximum comfort and convenience for its patients and visitors, achieved by creating roomy and airy spaces organized in a way to guarantee easy orientation and privacy at the same time.
Previously, ADNOC appointed NMC Healthcare to operate the hospital, bringing best-in-class medical services and experience to the region.
Burjeel Holdings assumes full operational responsibility of the 122-bed multi-specialty hospital as it continues to explore investment opportunities to operate and manage other assets across the MENA region.
It is part of the Group’s strategic objectives to expand its geographical presence, with an emphasis on ramping up growth assets, alongside increasing patient yield and operational efficiency.
The new venture represents the Group’s Operation & Management (O&M) capabilities as one of the largest healthcare services providers in the Middle East and North Africa region.
“This agreement is a testament to Burjeel Holdings’ capabilities and experience in the O&M space, enabling the Group to grow and expand further in an asset-light manner in the United Arab Emirates and the wider Middle Eastern region,” stated Mr. John Sunil.
Burjeel Holdings has a proven track record in delivering high-quality healthcare services across the MENA region.
The Group possesses advanced technology systems to enable the healthcare facilities to deliver excellent patient care.
Its healthcare facilities are fully equipped to handle complex care cases, including trauma, organ transplants, women’s care, pediatrics, orthopedics, spine, and neuro care.
Rub by a team of skilled and experienced medical professionals, Burjeel Holdings will ensure the efficiency of Al Dhannah Hospital with optimal resource utilization.
“Burjeel Holdings’ longstanding experience in working with ADNOC will enable us to unlock the best offerings with highest standards to the Al Dhafra region, all centered around providing the highest quality patient care,” underscored Mr. Sunil.
