QATAR—CellSave Arabia, a leading provider of stem cell banking services in the Gulf region, has joined forces with Sidra Medicine, a renowned Qatari medical institution specialising in women’s and children’s healthcare.

This comes just a week after Sidra Medicine, part of Qatar Foundation, introduced the country’s first-ever cord blood banking service in Qatar.

This new partnership aims to enhance access to cutting-edge stem cell processing and storage services across Qatar, offering families a critical resource for potential future health treatments.

Founded in 2005, CellSave Arabia is the first private stem cell laboratory in the GCC and a member of the CSG BIO Group.

Over the years, it has preserved over 750,000 stem cell units, earning the trust of thousands of families.

This new partnership is set to take their services to the next level by leveraging Sidra Medicine’s state-of-the-art Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facilities for stem cell storage in Qatar.

The agreement, formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU), enables CellSave Arabia to store various stem cell types, including cord blood, umbilical cord tissue, placental tissue, amniotic tissue, and ready-to-use mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs).

These services will be available to any family in Qatar, regardless of the hospital where their child is born, ensuring comprehensive access across the country.

Alia Abdel-Razeq, Chief Operating Officer of CellSave Arabia, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, describing it as a transformative step for healthcare innovation in Qatar.

She noted that by utilising Sidra Medicine’s exceptional facilities, CellSave Arabia can enhance its offerings, ensuring families have access to cutting-edge stem cell banking services tailored to their health needs.

Dr. Iyabo Tinubu-Karch, CEO of Sidra Medicine, echoed these sentiments, highlighting how this partnership aligns with the institution’s mission to improve healthcare and support healthier families.

She expressed pride in being part of an initiative that allows families to store their children’s stem cells within Qatar for the first time, marking a significant milestone for the nation’s healthcare system.

This partnership comes at a time when advancements in regenerative medicine are opening new possibilities for treating complex health conditions.

By making stem cell services more accessible, CellSave Arabia and Sidra Medicine are not only expanding healthcare options but also investing in the long-term well-being of Qatar’s population.

Together, they aim to build a healthier, more resilient community for future generations.
