UAE—Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA), the governing body of the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) free zone, has entered into a strategic partnership with Al Jalila Foundation, a key player in advancing Dubai’s healthcare sector.
The collaboration aims to drive innovation, research, and knowledge exchange while supporting initiatives that enhance regional healthcare services.
Under the agreement, DHCA will designate Al Jalila Foundation as its ‘Charity of Choice,’ actively supporting its fundraising campaigns and key projects.
This includes backing Dubai Health’s initiatives such as the Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital, a vital healthcare facility dedicated to cancer treatment and research.
Additionally, the partnership focuses on implementing charitable, volunteer, and humanitarian programs within the healthcare sector.
A significant aspect of this collaboration is its emphasis on medical education and professional development.
The agreement seeks to enhance medical training and cultivate a highly skilled workforce that can meet the industry’s evolving demands by supporting aspiring healthcare professionals.
Issam Galadari, CEO of DHCA, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating that it reinforces their commitment to advancing medical education, research, and innovation in Dubai.
He highlighted that by working together on meaningful initiatives, both organizations can contribute significantly to improving healthcare services and accessibility.
Dr. Amer Al Zarooni, CEO of Al Jalila Foundation, echoed this sentiment, underscoring the power of collaboration in shaping a healthier future.
He noted that through this partnership, Al Jalila Foundation is strengthening its commitment to medical education and research while driving impactful programs that develop healthcare professionals.
He further emphasized that such efforts contribute to building a future-ready healthcare ecosystem that can address the community’s changing needs.
As part of the agreement, Al Jalila Foundation will also introduce ‘Wellness on Wheels,’ a mobile clinic service that will provide healthcare access to the DHCC community.
Additionally, the foundation will offer volunteering opportunities, encouraging community involvement in healthcare initiatives.
This partnership aligns with Dubai’s broader vision of enhancing its healthcare industry and ensuring that the city remains at the forefront of medical innovation and patient care.
Dubai is taking a proactive step toward a more sustainable and inclusive healthcare system by fostering collaboration between key healthcare entities.
