UAE – Aviv Clinics Dubai has rolled out its new pediatric initiative christened “Aviv Cares” to fund the assessment and treatment of children with complex neurological conditions in the United Arab Emirates.

It follows the appointment of Craig Cook, who has served as the Executive Director for International Operations at Cleveland Clinic, as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aviv Clinics Dubai.

Aviv Clinics Dubai is a wholly owned subsidiary of DP World offering the latest advancements in assessing, treating, and improving cognitive and physical performance.

As the incoming CEO of Aviv Clinics, Craig Cook will be responsible for steering the company’s growth and business development and he will focus on the attainment of its goals and objectives.

Aviv Clinics has entered its third year in the United Arab Emirates, marking an exciting new chapter for the hospital.

Speaking on the launch of the new initiative, Craig Cook, CEO of Aviv Clinics Dubai, commented: “At Aviv Clinics Dubai, we have always been committed to providing our patients with the highest quality of medical care.”

The new initiative reiterates Aviv Clinics Dubai’s commitment to ensure that every child in the UAE receives equal opportunities to flourish and excel regardless of their financial situation or condition.

Under the Avis Cares Initiative, the Aviv Clinics will offer a thorough 3-day evaluation for children under 18, who suffer from neurological conditions including post-concussion syndrome (PPCS).

We are happy to have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference and we are delighted to have DP’s World support in this important initiative,” stated Craig Cook.

Children suffering from Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, traumatic brain injuries, and stroke will have a unique chance to receive sophisticated treatments without financial hardships.

The Avis Cares Initiative will provide financial support for pediatric patients to receive medical assessments to look at their cognitive and physical abilities using a variety of tests.

These assessments include the most advanced brain imaging tests to identify the root cause of the child’s condition and determine the best treatment options to improve cognitive and behavioral function.

We hope to create a brighter future for the youth of the UAE and promote greater awareness and understanding of the importance of proper assessment and treatment for neurological conditions,” added Cook.

The first-of-its-kind facility has a comprehensive medical program combining proprietary Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), a patented cognitive and physical training program, and personalized nutritional coaching optimized using advanced data analytics tools.

On his part, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman and Chief Executive Office of DP World, asserted: “Aviv Cares is a true testament to the commitment of DP World and Aviv Clinics Dubai to improving the quality of lives of children in the UAE.”

Through the new initiative, the Aviv Youth Medical Program will utilize the HBOT program, neurocognitive training, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy as core components of the children’s treatment plans.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, an innovative approach to treatment offered by the Aviv Youth Medical Program, will bring hope and healing to children with neurological medical conditions.

The Aviv Cares Initiative will ensure the kids are evaluated in a child-friendly environment free-of-charge as well as cover the preferred treatments for eligible pediatric patients.

These measures align with Aviv Clinics Dubai’s mission to make cutting-edge treatments more accessible to children who can benefit from them.

Through Aviv Cares, Aviv Clinics Dubai aims to positively impact the lives of children and families in the UAE community,” underscored Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem.
