UAE—M42, a global leader in healthcare powered by artificial intelligence, technology, and genomics, has announced the appointment of Dr. Moza Ajaif Al Zaabi as the new Chief Executive Officer of Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital, located in Al Batayeh, Sharjah.
Dr. Moza brings more than 20 years of rich experience in clinical practice, hospital commissioning, and executive leadership.
Her impressive career includes serving as the founding CEO of two prominent healthcare institutions: Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital and Adam Vital Ortho-Spinal & Sports Medicine Hospital.
In these roles, she was instrumental in guiding both hospitals from their initial conception to becoming fully operational and recognized centers of excellence.
A pediatric specialist by training, Dr. Moza holds a postgraduate qualification from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in the UK.
Additionally, she earned a master’s degree in healthcare management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
She is also an alumna of the UAE Women’s Leadership Program, an initiative by the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development aimed at empowering the next generation of national leaders.
Commenting on her appointment, Dimitris Moulavasilis, Group CEO of M42, expressed his enthusiasm in welcoming Dr. Moza to lead Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital.
He highlighted her extensive experience and proven track record in establishing and managing major hospitals across the UAE.
According to him, Dr. Moza’s leadership will be vital in advancing M42’s mission to provide patient-centered, world-class specialized healthcare services.
He also emphasized that her appointment reflects M42’s strong commitment to expanding and improving healthcare services in the region.
Under her guidance, the hospital is expected to continue thriving and set new benchmarks in healthcare delivery.
Before taking on this new role, Dr. Moza worked as a Consultant Pediatrician at Al Qassimi Hospital and served as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Sharjah.
She currently chairs the Innovation Panel for Healthcare Solutions, demonstrating her dedication to forward-thinking and innovative leadership within the healthcare sector.
Reflecting on her new position, Dr. Moza described it as a privilege to lead Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital during such a dynamic phase of its growth.
She expressed her commitment to enhancing the hospital’s services, empowering its teams, and ensuring that every patient receives the highest quality of care.
She also emphasized her vision to build on the hospital’s strong foundation and develop a progressive healthcare model tailored to the needs of the community.
