UAE – Dubai has concluded its healthcare event dubbed ‘The Future of Health, Wellness and Innovation Forum’ held at the Museum of the Future on 12th December 2022.

The Future of Health, Wellness and Innovation Forum was organized by the Dubai Land Department (DLD) with support from Delos, a company promoting well-being in living and working places.

It brought together high-level officials and experts who underscored the importance of strengthening buildings and residential communities and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a preferred global real estate destination.

The forum involved five panel discussions focused on the future of health and well-being in buildings and communities as well as a holistic approach to healthy buildings particularly wellness in design, operation and behaviour.

It was also an opportunity for participants to discuss challenges and opportunities for human health, well-being, and sustainability along with the impact of health and sustainability across government, commercial, residential and hospitality.

The fourth session highlighted the impact of health and sustainability across government, commercial, residential and hospitality while the fifth and final panel, highlighted the premise of well-being and health provided by modern technology in the education sector.

Side events and talks also took place inside the forum for instance, Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, President of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, shared his future visions on health, well-being and education.

On the sidelines of the forum’s activities, DLD and Delos Company entered into a strategic partnership deal focused on initiatives, products and solutions for the healthy building movement.

The strategic deal explores opportunities and prospects for joint cooperation in hosting events related to healthy buildings and communities as well as exchanging experiences and knowledge about the healthy building movement.

The collaboration with DLD also touches on jointly recommending the best scientifically approved health technologies, solutions and products to help advance the health and wellbeing of people living in the United Arab Emirates.

Speaking at the forum, Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, Director-General of the Dubai Land Department, said: “Health and safety issues have always been fundamental pillars of the UAE’s strategy, and Dubai in particular, towards ensuring growth by promoting innovation and sustainability.”

He further said that prioritizing health and safety issues is in line with the developmental approach pursued by the wise leadership under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

He emphasized that health, safety, and innovation standards have become integral to achieving Dubai’s vision to become the best city in the world to live and work.

The Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan draws an integrated future map for sustainable urban development, the main focus of which being people and the improvement of their quality of life.” Sultan Butti added.
