UAE – Dr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President of Thumbay Group, has created a new online medical education platform for healthcare professionals in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology, Healthvarsity will offer multiple course styles, such as recorded webinars, guided tours, case studies, test preparation, demonstrations, and leaders’ insights.
The online platform has a range of resources including more than 200 audio-visual courses and curricula, which can be paid for in cryptocurrency.
After the initial registration, users can select courses that optimally meet their professional requirements from several options, including self-study programs.
Healthvarsity users are expected to receive a certificate on blockchain to maintain security and authenticity after they complete each specific course.
During a face-to-face event held at the Palazzo Versace Hotel in Dubai, Dr. Thumbay Moideen asserted: “Healthvarsity embodies the highly engaging, focused, interactive, and unique learning process that has been a hallmark of medical education programs for decades.”
The brainchild of Dr. Moideen aims to expand the reach and accessibility of well-defined programmes for up-skilling professionals and learners, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and aspiring medical students.
These courses will be available in the English language for all users at different designations and levels of education and professional experience.
Partnering with local banks, payment gateways, and ‘Learn now and pay later’, Healthvarsity offers easy and flexible payment methods for learners.
“Healthvarsity will provide a powerful channel for communicating ideas to and engaging with new and wider audiences,” stated Dr. Moideen.
Headquartered and registered in Dublin, Ireland, Healthvarsity will serve as an additional resource to doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and aspiring medical students, just to name a few.
As telehealth adoption surges, Healthvarsity will introduce new features powered by AI technology such as a Virtual Instructor, a Virtual Mentor, and a Virtual Assessor.
“The interconnected world, we live in, has experienced unprecedented growth in recent times, and preparing healthcare professionals to succeed in this challenging environment demands a flexible and real world-based approach to education,” noted Dr. Moideen.
The new EdTech platform will pave the way for a nurturing lifelong journey of inquiry and discovery for healthcare professionals and help them achieve better career outcomes using the latest technology.
Moreover, this solution will bring together renowned academicians of the world on one platform towards making Healthvarsity the center of engagement for research, innovation, education, and collaboration in the coming years.
