UAE – Dubai National Insurance (DNI) has joined forced with Takalam, an award-winning mental health and well-being platform, with an aim to improve access to mental health services in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
DNI, being one of the best medical health insurance companies in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, offers a wide range of medical insurance products, which is suitable for individuals providing protection against their illness and consequent medical expenses.
It provides cost-effective worldwide insurance plans and policies that suit customer’s requirements for Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and other UAE residents while collaborating with elite Third-Party Administrators (TPA) for all its medical claim services.
Dubai National Insurance has signed a collaboration agreement with Takalam to grant its customers virtual access to a range of mental health professionals, tools, and solutions as part of its DNI package.
In a release, the insurance company said: “Takalam will onboard DNI customers who in turn can choose, or be matched with, the most suitable counsellor through the network of qualified professionals based on language, discipline, need, and schedule preferences.”
Dubai National Insurance reassured its new customers and existing customers that users can book mental health counselling sessions with a professional directly on Takalam’s mobile application, noting that they can add Takalam’s package to their policy to access the benefits offered.
Takalam via its online counselling platform will connect individuals and organizations directly with professional counsellors through a private and personalized digital experience using video, audio, and instant messaging.
It will empower individuals and corporations to utilize digital technologies that will help prevent long-term, chronic diseases by addressing mental health issues with real-time, informed data-driven, and proactive interventions.
On her part, CEO of Takalam Ms. Khawla Hammad underscored that the partnership with DNI is a significant milestone in Takalam’s journey to address the growing demand of accessible mental well-being services.
“On the heels of the pandemic, and an economy filled with uncertainty, DNI customers, particularly corporations and entities that provide their employees with insurance services, can now benefit from the rapid need of mental well-being programs,” she pointed out.
In addition, the partnership with Takalam will build on DNI’s efforts to help promote the importance of mental health and the need for support of individuals battling with anxiety, depression, or simply in need of professional counselling.
