EGYPT – El-Ezaby Pharmacies, Egypt’s uncontested leading provider of health and personal care products Pharmacies, has announced its plans to launch additional branches across several governorates by the end of 2023.

In 2022, El-Ezaby Pharmacies opened about 40 new branches in Egypt to facilitate access to its services to customers throughout the country, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Following “record” revenues for the 2022 financial year, the pharmacy chain plans to reinvest all of its profits into the business as it embarks on an extensive programme of expansion.

The Cairo-based company is cementing its presence in the key governorates of Egypt with the commissioning of new branches across the country.

The expansion plans align with the company’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and unprecedented set of services in the Egyptian market.

The branches of El-Ezaby Pharmacies are currently in 25 governorates with a total of 250 branches, except for the governorates of North Sinai and the New Valley.

In his address, Dr. Ahmed ElSadaty, Executive Vice President of El-Ezaby Pharmacies, stated that the company is set to establish a physical presence in new areas to have a branch in all of the 29 governorates of Egypt.

He pointed out that El-Ezaby Pharmacies heavily relies on the principle of continuous development as it seeks to provide new services to its patients and customers.

Dr. ElSadaty outlined that staying on top of technological advancements is critical for business success, stressing that digital transformation has become a cornerstone of their business map.

He said that the company keeps abreast of technology trends and invests in rapid changes to ensure the arrival of products and medicines that customers want quickly and easily anywhere in Egypt.

The company owns a call center, which is the largest in the Middle East for pharmacies, and it has about 300 pharmacists working around the clock to cover all requests and needs of customers,” highlighted the Executive Vice President of El-Ezaby Pharmacies.

Dr. ElSadaty disclosed that the call center allows patients in critical cases to make free consultations at the convenience and comfort of their homes, noting that the pharmacies offer medical advice based on the patient’s information.

In addition to virtual consultations, El-Ezaby Pharmacies recently developed its on-demand home services app to enable its patients and customers to order medication periodically via the mobile application.

He further revealed that El-Ezaby Pharmacies would launch new features on its mobile application before mid-year to include new and advanced services that serve its customer base, noting that the mobile application was a quantum leap for them.

The application was downloaded about 1.2 million times, and its rating ranges between 4.7 to 4.8, which confirms the achievement of customer satisfaction with the services provided,” added the Executive Vice President of El-Ezaby Pharmacies.
