EGYPT – Nice Deer is rolling out digital insurance solutions at eight prominent medical facilities across the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The eight medical facilities, include Dar Al Fouad Hospitals, Al Salam International Hospitals, Misr International Hospital, Al Nasaem Hospital, Dar Al Oyoun Hospital, and Arab Contractors Medical Center.
“The company’s expansion to hospitals will improve the process of obtaining insurance services as well as settling inpatient and outpatient medical insurance claims in eight prominent medical facilities,” Nice Deer said in an emailed press release.
Nice Deer is an insurtech company specialising in developing a comprehensive integrated digital ecosystem for the health insurance industry in Egypt.
Founded in 2022, Nice Deer uses a one-window platform to connect medical service providers with insurance companies and facilitates communication between doctors and patients.
The startup also facilitates the approval and disbursement of medication, radiology & scan requests, taking into account the requirements of insurance documents and not exceeding the maximum disbursement limits for each beneficiary.
The company’s expansion to hospitals builds on its relentless efforts to bridge the gap between healthcare providers, health insurance companies, and beneficiaries by facilitating insurance and repayment of insurance claims.
Moreover, Nice Deer is expected to add four more self-funded corporations to its network as it looks to forge collaborations with many polyclinics and hospitals across Egypt.
“Nice Deer has extended its digital services and platform to operate within hospitals. This move will serve over 900,000 medical insurance beneficiaries on a daily basis,” the company in a press statement.
This development comes months after Nice Deer signed a landmark deal with Misr Finance for Financial Services to provide short-term financing solutions for medical service providers.
The partnership is poised to help eliminate delays in medical expense reimbursement, encouraging collaboration with insurance companies and accelerating the growth of the health insurance industry in Egypt.
Laying out his vision, Mustafa Medhat, Chief Executive Officer of Nice Deer, underscored: “Nice Deer aims to become the helping arm of the insurance industry in Egypt to grow smoothly and work to close the gap between providers and beneficiaries through several pioneering medical services and solutions in line with the unified insurance law.”
Nice Deer is anticipated to use its extensive network of healthcare providers and third-party administration (TPA) network to reach new sectors, especially small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
The company offers diverse business solutions to help health insurance companies communicate more effectively with both medical service providers and beneficiaries to detect and prevent fraud and increase revenues through a widespread network of medical service providers.
The company also recommends medications based on the patients’ medical history and alerts the doctors to any medical interactions.
It is worth highlighting that Nice Deer’s mission aligns with the strategic initiatives under the Government of Egypt to increase the number of beneficiaries of private health insurance across the country.
Additionally, the company recently launched the Nice Deer Clinic Management system for dental clinics across Egypt.
Nice Deer serves as a vital platform to facilitate communication as well as procedure-to-procedure interactions and sequences along with a convenient dental map, thereby enabling dentists to easily track the patient’s history.
“We work on developing business solutions and technologies through a clear strategy that primarily focuses on expansion as well as Research and Development investments, based on our extensive expertise, in order to be one of the leading health insurance technology companies,” stated Mustafa Medhat.
