SAUDI ARABIA—Dr. Soliman Abdulqader Fakeeh Hospital Company (DSFH), a part of Saudi Arabia’s Fakeeh Care Group, has signed a deal with Advanced Horizons Contracting Company to extend its regional healthcare footprint.

This agreement marks the start of building on a new medical centre in Makkah that will cover a total of 14,400 square meters.

Fakeeh Care Group detailed the SAR104.1 million (US$28 million) contract in a file with the Saudi Stock Exchange, Tadawul.

Advanced Horizons Contracting Company will oversee the new facility’s construction, electromechanical work, and finishing touches. The construction will be finished within an ambitious 18-month schedule.

The Saudi firm has already completed the excavation, shoring, and dewatering phases of the project as part of its preliminary work, demonstrating its commitment to a fast and efficient construction.

Once operational, the new 2,450-square-meter healthcare centre will greatly improve the local community’s access to comprehensive medical services.

It will have 20 clinics specialising in various fields, an upgraded emergency department, a day surgery section, and a well-equipped pharmacy.

Furthermore, the facility will have cutting-edge technology to enable modern laboratory and imaging capabilities, ensuring that patients receive first-rate medical treatment.

The project’s financial impact has been critical, with the Fakeeh Care Group admitting that the construction phase will have an impact on its liquidity; however, the group anticipates that the facility will have a positive impact on its financial results once it is operational as a medical centre in the second quarter of 2026.

In a similar move, Fakeeh Care Group has announced intentions to open a new teaching facility in response to the Kingdom’s rising educational demands.

The new facility will be built on a 2,529-square-meter block of land held by the group in Jeddah’s Al-Hamra District.

Dr. Soliman Abdel Kader Fakeeh Medical Education Co. (FMCS) has signed a contract with Advanced Horizons Contracting Company to build, electromechanical work, and finish the medical and clinical skills centre.

The teaching facility is set to become a learning and development hub, with 7,200 square meters of dedicated teaching and training space.

It will include 15 classrooms, a cutting-edge laboratory, an OSCE room, and a well-stocked library, among other features.

This facility, which can accommodate over 500 students per day, is intended to play an important role in shaping the future generation of healthcare professionals.

The contract for this project is worth SAR46.4 million (US$12.35 million), and the construction time is expected to be 12 months.
