SAUDIA ARABIA–Fakeeh Care Group, a prominent healthcare provider in Saudi Arabia, has announced a strategic partnership with Fosun Pharma, a global leader in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, and healthcare services.

This collaboration is a key part of Fakeeh Care Group’s vision to accelerate healthcare innovation in the Kingdom and aligns closely with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030-a national initiative aimed at transforming Saudi Arabia into a global hub for innovation and economic diversification, especially within the healthcare sector.

The partnership is designed to bring advanced therapeutic and diagnostic technologies to Saudi Arabia, enhancing the country’s healthcare system and supporting its shift toward a more sustainable, patient-centered model.

Dr. Mazen Soliman Fakeeh, President of Fakeeh Care Group, highlighted that this collaboration marks a significant step forward.

He emphasized the group’s commitment to building a sustainable healthcare ecosystem rooted in research and innovation, ensuring that patients in Saudi Arabia have access to some of the world’s most advanced medical solutions.

Fosun Pharma is recognized internationally for its pioneering work in biopharmaceuticals, including CAR-T cell therapies and gene therapy.

The company’s biologics have already benefited more than 750,000 patients worldwide.

In addition to pharmaceuticals, Fosun Pharma has developed advanced platforms for diagnostics, medical devices, and AI-powered digital pathology.

These innovations are set to accelerate diagnostic processes and enable effective tele-diagnostic solutions, which are particularly relevant as Saudi Arabia pushes for greater adoption of digital health technologies under Vision 2030.

Dr. Sohail Bajammal, CEO of Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital in Jeddah, stated that the partnership is focused on transferring and localizing advanced medical technologies within the Kingdom.

This includes introducing CAR-T treatments for blood cancers and autoimmune disorders, gene therapies for chronic illnesses, and smart tele-diagnostic and monitoring systems.

These efforts align with Vision 2030’s emphasis on leveraging technology to improve healthcare quality, accessibility, and efficiency.

Mr. Guo Guangchang, Chairman of Fosun International, expressed enthusiasm for the alliance, noting that Fosun looks forward to establishing a long-term, stable partnership with Fakeeh Care Group.

He underscored the shared vision of delivering integrated healthcare solutions globally and highlighted the intention to create a new, mutually beneficial ecosystem in the Middle East.

The memorandum of understanding between the two organizations makes it clear that this collaboration is more than just a technological alliance.

It represents a shared commitment to reshaping the healthcare landscape in Saudi Arabia and the broader region.

By integrating advanced therapeutics and tele-diagnostics, the partnership aspires to set a new standard of excellence in the GCC region and position Saudi Arabia as a regional hub for healthcare innovation.
