INDIA – Indian multispecialty hospital Fortis Hospital has unveiled a major expansion strategy in Noida, India to build a new patient care building.

The hospital expansion project includes a 200-bed on-site extension, the inauguration of 5 new operation theatres, and the installation of advanced medical equipment and technology.

Upon completion, Fortis Hospital will increase its bed capacity to a total of 500 inpatient beds with 18 operation theatres.

The additional beds and operation theatres will be set up in the upcoming new building, within the hospital premises,” Fortis Hospital said in a statement.

With this recent expansion, Fortis Hospital will have an increased capacity to serve all patients in Noida and nearby regions to reduce medical costs.

It will ensure that patients have access to cutting-edge healthcare facilities and services such as emergency and trauma services, cardiology, organ transplant, oncology, and robotics.

The hospital will add robotic-aided equipment for orthopaedics and general surgery; LINAC, PETCT and Gamma camera for Cancer Care; 3 Tesla MRI, 256 slice CT Scan and Cath Labs for Radiology, Cardiology, and Neurology,” stated Fortis Hospital.

In addition, the revamped medical facility will offer a higher level of clinical care across specialties such as Organ Transplant including the transplantation of liver, kidney, heart, and bone and marrow transplant.
