INDIA – Fujifilm India has joined forces with the Yashoda Group of Hospitals in Hyderabad to establish a new training and research facility in the state of Telangana.

Fujifilm Corporation has always been at the forefront of healthcare innovation and strongly believes that training and education for healthcare professionals can significantly contribute to raising the standards of patient care in the country.

In a press statement, the company said: “Fujifilm India is dedicated to enhancing healthcare in the country, simplifying diagnostics, and ensuring safer practices. This partnership is poised to deliver even greater results, benefiting healthcare professionals and patients.”

The agreement was signed in the presence of Dr A. Lingaiah, Director of Medical Services at Yashoda Hospitals, and Tatsuhiko Saeki, Global Head of Endoscopy Division at Fujifilm Corporation, Tokyo.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Dheeraj Chaudhri, Head of the Endoscopy Division at Fujifilm India, and Tomosuke Okada, Japanese Advisor at Fujifilm India.

The objective of the collaboration agreement is to create a conducive environment to teach interventional endoscopy procedures and provide didactic and hands-on teaching in endoscopic proficiency.

Under the new collaboration agreement, Fujifilm India will work closely with Yashoda Hospitals to oversee every phase of the construction project.

The soon-to-launch training and research facility will launch at the Department of Gastroenterology at the premises of Yashoda Group of Hospitals in Hyderabad.

Speaking about the new collaboration, Mr. Tatsuhiko Saeki, Global Head of the Endoscopy Division at Fujifilm Corporation, Tokyo stated: “We hope this partnership will positively impact the patient care standards in various remote regions of the country with the help of continuous training programs.”

The state-of-the-art facility will help the gastroenterologists enhance their skills in basic and advanced gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy and related medical procedures.

The facility will also provide comprehensive training and observership programmes to qualified doctors from countries of the Asia Pacific region.

It will play an integral part in clinical research in pancreatic and biliary disorders, early detection of pancreatic cancer, advanced imaging modalities, bariatric endoscopy, and novel endoscopic devices.

In his address, Dr. A. Lingaiah, Director of Medical Services at Yashoda Hospitals, explained: “Yashoda Hospitals continuously seeks clinical advancement & better patient care by its commitment to Training & Research across its Multi-specialty Care.”

The Hyderabad-headquartered facility will provide doctors in the Asia Pacific region with an effective programme focused primarily on the training of GI fellows and advanced endoscopy fellows.

By joining the Yashoda Group of Hospitals in Hyderabad, Fujifilm India creates new opportunities to collaborate with the Yashoda network.
