INDIA – FUJIFILM India has forged a strategic partnership with the Tata Memorial Center (TMC), Mumbai to establish an advanced training facility for onco-pulmonology and interventional pulmonology procedures.

Backed by the Department of Pulmonary Medicine &Thoracic Oncology Disease Management Group at TMC, the state-of-the-art training center is expected to provide comprehensive training and observership programs to Pulmonologists across the Asia Pacific region.

The center will make the pulmonology fraternity abreast of the new technology and help them utilize the latest innovations in uplifting patient care standards at their respective locations.

This Bronchoscopy training facility will be strategically positioned at TMC, one of the most prestigious oncology institutes, marking a step forward in FUJIFILM’s objective of combining technological advancement with imparting technical skills to healthcare professionals.

In his address, Mr. Koji Wada, Managing Director of FUJIFILM India, asserted: “FUJIFILM India has always been at the forefront of healthcare innovation. Training and education offered to healthcare professionals can significantly contribute to raising the standards of patient care in India.”

He observed that Tata Memorial Center, Mumbai has immensely supported the healthcare ecosystem in the country, noting that their latest collaboration will positively impact the patient care standards in various remote regions of the country.

The signing ceremony was officiated by Dr. Rajendra Badwe, Director of Tata Memorial Center, Dr. CS Pramesh, Director of Tata Memorial Hospital, Dr. SD Banavali, Director of Academics at TMC, and Dr. Sandeep Tandon, Professor and Head of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, TMC.

The event also saw the presence of Mr. Dheeraj Chaudhri, Head of the Endoscopy Division at FUJIFILM India Pvt. Ltd, and Mr. Tomosuke Okada, Japanese Advisor of FUJIFILM India Pvt. Ltd, on behalf of the medical imaging technology company.

Furthermore, this collaboration aligns with FUJIFILM India Endoscopy Division’s goal to strengthen the health standards in India.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Dheeraj Chaudhri, Head of the Endoscopy Systems Division at FUJIFILM India said: “FUJIFILM India has always contributed to making health conditions better in India and ensuring a good lifestyle for its citizens. The company will continue to do the same.”

He pointed out that the FUJIFILM India-backed training facility will empower healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes with world-class training facilities and the latest technologies in the country.
