SAUDI ARABIA – GE HealthCare has opened its new regional headquarters in the heart of Riyadh, solidifying its foothold in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In his official address, Mohammad El Khoury, General Manager for GE HealthCare in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said: “The establishment of a regional headquarters in Riyadh marks a pivotal moment in GE HealthCare’s commitment to creating a more resilient and sustainable healthcare industry in Saudi Arabia.”

The Riyadh office will provide a conducive workspace for GE HealthCare’s dynamic leadership team supporting local and regional providers to drive transformative change in Saudi Arabia.

The inauguration of this regional office comes shortly after GE HealthCare launched its online service shop in the region.

The GE Healthcare Service Shop is designed to meet the specific needs of hospitals and healthcare facilities registered to its e-commerce portal, with 24/7 hr access to the online store.

It is a one-stop online store providing an extensive range of medical equipment spares and accessories that support the uptime of GE Healthcare’s medical devices around the clock.

Notably, the company’s international expansion reflects its commitment to support the kingdom’s Vision 2030 healthcare transformation agenda.

This strategic move aims to drive progress and transformation in Saudi Arabia’s healthcare sector and adopt innovative approaches to addressing the evolving healthcare needs across the region.

It comes as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia restructures its health sector under the Health Sector Transformation Program, part of the kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Commenting on Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, Mohammad El Khoury stated: “Saudi Arabia is pivoting to a future-ready healthcare ecosystem where it aims to leverage technologies to maximize efficiencies and enhance precision health initiatives that address critical patient and clinical challenges.”

Regarding investment opportunities in digital health solutions, it is worth mentioning that GE HealthCare reaffirmed its commitment to the Saudi Arabian market during the annual Global Health Exhibition in Riyadh.

Digital transformation is fuelling progress

GE HealthCare provided additional details of its Saudi expansion plans at the ongoing Global Health Exhibition where the company is showcasing its state-of-the-art imaging devices and diagnostic solutions.

In particular, the company is presenting its cutting-edge innovations in precision care to the largest gathering of healthcare professionals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The company intends to shed light on the role its cutting-edge innovations in precision care play in reducing the burden on the kingdom’s healthcare system.

As one of the fastest-growing digital health markets, health technology has become critical to meet the kingdom’s goals of digitalizing 70% of patient activities by 2030.

GE HealthCare’s advanced digital solutions will be pivotal in fulfilling the Saudi Government’s vision of creating an efficient, integrated, and patient-centered ecosystem that is on par with the best healthcare systems in the world.

Under a new leadership team and in collaboration with local and regional providers, we are determined to lead the charge in bringing next-generation technologies and hospital solutions to address the diverse healthcare needs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” outlined Mohammad El Khoury.

GE HealthCare is also joining industry leaders, policymakers, and healthcare professionals in headlining discussions to drive forward the Health Sector Transformation Program’s goals of building a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem in the Kingdom.

It is worth emphasizing how rapid advances in technology can play a vital role in delivering clinical care at a time when the healthcare industry feels the pressure of burgeoning costs and increasing staff shortages.
