SAUDI ARABIA – GE HealthCare has launched its online service shop in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to provide greater access to quality medical equipment parts to markets across the region.
The newly launched e-commerce platform will provide on-demand access to GE HealthCare repair services to customers in Saudi Arabia, improving productivity and efficiency for the healthcare community.
It is a one-stop online store providing an extensive range of medical equipment spares and accessories that support the uptime of GE Healthcare’s medical devices around the clock.
In a press release, GE HealthCare said: “Our Service Shop enables healthcare technology management professionals to purchase spare parts for critical equipment safely and easily.”
The GE Healthcare Service Shop is designed to meet the specific needs of hospitals and healthcare facilities registered to its e-commerce portal, with 24/7 hr access to the online store.
The healthcare community can purchase repair service solutions that are backed by warranty through the newly integrated GE Healthcare e-commerce platform.
“Registered customers can log in to the portal and search by part number, equipment type, or keyword. The portal will allow online buyers to view daily deals, check parts availability instantly, and track delivery status,” announced the medical equipment supplier.
GE HealthCare equipment parts will be available across several categories, ranging from anesthesia and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to patient monitoring and X-ray.
“With easier access to quality healthcare through a more comprehensive e-commerce offering, there may be a reduction in the total cost of care, enabling a larger portion of healthcare expenditures to be channelled toward patient care,” stated GE Healthcare.
It aligns with GE Healthcare’s efforts in building an ecosystem striving for the delivery of precision health and driving productivity to improve outcomes for patients, providers, and health systems around the world.
“We are committed to providing Saudi’s healthcare providers access to the best technology and the ability to ensure their equipment is operating efficiently, with minimal downtime,” said Eyad Al Jurf, General Manager Services – Saudi Arabia, GE HealthCare.
He reaffirmed to the customers that the GE Healthcare Service Shop offers innovative digital solutions that support the delivery of high-quality healthcare in line with Saudi’s ambitious digital transformation strategy.
“Ultimately, we want to help medical professionals focus on patient care by enabling timely access to parts and repair resources, where and when they need them,” added Al Jurf.
The launch of the Service Shop in Saudi Arabia comes in line with the company’s plans to develop its capabilities and expand its reach to serve customers in multiple capacities.
Saudi Arabia joins over 30 countries around the world in utilizing GE HealthCare’s B2B e-commerce tool for clinical engineering professionals, including Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines to name a few.
