Healthpoint expands services with new OMFS Department

UAE —Abu Dhabi’s Healthpoint, a multi-specialty hospital under the M42 group, has expanded its range of services with the introduction of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS).

Known for its comprehensive medical services, Healthpoint provides primary and specialized care through its four centers of excellence: Bariatric Surgery and Weight Loss, Dentistry, Musculoskeletal Medicine, and Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

The OMFS department at Healthpoint offers expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of various conditions affecting the soft and hard tissues of the mouth, face, jaws, and neck.

The department is led by two experienced consultants, Dr. Mohammed Al Naqbi and Dr. Shakir Mustafa, who bring over 30 years of combined experience in the field.

Dr. Al Naqbi, with over 14 years of experience, specializes in dentoalveolar reconstruction, maxillofacial pathology, and TMJ dysfunction, using minimally invasive techniques to restore both function and aesthetics.

Dr. Mustafa, with more than 17 years of experience, excels in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, managing congenital and acquired deformities, craniomaxillofacial trauma, and complex infections.

His expertise includes dental implants, salivary gland disorders, and oral cancers, and he is committed to providing patient-specific treatment plans.

Healthpoint’s OMFS service is designed to meet the needs of patients with conditions such as trauma-related facial injuries, benign and malignant tumors, and functional or aesthetic concerns requiring reconstructive surgery.

The hospital also offers specialized rehabilitation services to ensure patients recover fully and regain optimal functionality post-surgery.

The OMFS department at Healthpoint utilizes state-of-the-art techniques, including 3D-printed implants and surgical guides, to enhance surgical precision and reduce recovery times. These innovations ensure that treatments are highly customized, leading to better overall patient outcomes.

Commenting on the launch of this new service, Healthpoint’s Chief Executive Officer, Omar Al Naqbi, highlighted the hospital’s dedication to providing comprehensive care.

He emphasised that the introduction of OMFS reinforces Healthpoint’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technologies into its treatment offerings.

By combining expert care with advanced technology, the hospital delivers highly personalized and effective solutions to meet patient needs.

The new OMFS service also covers a broad spectrum of conditions, such as cysts and tumors of the mouth and jaws, mucous membrane disorders, and skin lesions or tumors of the face and neck.

Additionally, the facility offers jaw corrective surgeries for facial disproportion, bone grafting, pre-implant optimisation, and cosmetic procedures for the face, neck, and jaws.

Through this comprehensive approach, Healthpoint aims to enhance the quality of care and improve patient outcomes across a variety of complex conditions.
