QATAR – The Qatar Financial Centre Authority (QFCA), the legal and tax arm of the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) has tied up with Elegancia Healthcare to improve employees’ access to top-notch healthcare services.

The agreement sets a comprehensive framework for cooperation between the Qatar Financial Centre and Elegancia Healthcare, a subsidiary of Estithmar Holding.

As part of this strategic deal, Elegancia Healthcare will offer the Qatar Financial Centre’s firms and their members access to the former’s premium health programmes delivering top-notch healthcare services.

The combination of Elegancia Healthcare’s resources, support network, services, and health programmes and QFC’s financial and business will support Qatar’s efforts to achieve long-term sustainability.

It is in line with QFC’s commitment to delivering exceptional services to its clients while encouraging its firms to prioritise the well-being of their employees.

Commenting on this new venture, Joe Hazel, Cluster CEO at Elegancia Healthcare, said: “At Elegancia Healthcare, we are committed to providing a unique patient experience across our healthcare facilities through world-class medical expertise and cutting-edge medical technologies.”

Elegancia Healthcare is tasked with the operations of acute care hospitals, specialty ambulatory services, family health centers, and telehealth and telemedicine services, along with overseeing public-private partnerships.

With this in mind, the Qatar Financial Centre and Elegancia Healthcare will jointly organize events, webinars, and seminars on topics of mutual interest to facilitate knowledge transfer across both organizations.

The agreement is fully aligned with the two parties’ shared commitment to strengthen the healthcare sector in Qatar and contribute to the country’s sustainable development.

The QFC offers its own legal, regulatory, tax, and business environment, which allows up to 100% foreign ownership, 100% repatriation of profits, and charges a competitive rate of 10% corporate tax on locally sourced profits.

In line with the common guiding framework, the QFC and Elegancia Healthcare will explore healthcare cooperation with relevant stakeholders in the public, private, academic, and industrial sectors.

This collaboration comes as Elegancia Healthcare has formed a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan to begin the construction of a new state-of-the-art medical hub in the city of Astana.

In similar news, Elegancia Healthcare signed a strategic deal with the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population to explore new investments in the Egyptian healthcare sector.

These strategic moves align with the goal of Qatar’s Estithmar Holding to relentlessly pursue excellence and innovation while increasing shareholder value and creating a more diversified revenue stream.

The QFC and Elegancia Healthcare will also actively promote their respective value propositions to QFC licensed firms and Elegancia Healthcare’s partners. This collaborative promotion will foster a stronger industry and attract foreign companies to do business in Qatar,” stated Joe Hazel.

The multi-stakeholder partnership aims to unlock the potential of competent workforces within the two organizations to accelerate the development of ground-breaking healthcare solutions.

Through this new agreement, Elegancia Healthcare will work closely with the Qatar Financial Centre to foster entrepreneurship and economic growth as well as elevate healthcare standards.

The QFC and Elegancia Healthcare will co-develop and launch initiatives aimed at promoting a conducive business environment for start-ups and creating synergies among key players in the health industry.

The two parties will also explore knowledge transfer and collaboration opportunities to build a supportive ecosystem for start-ups and small businesses within Qatar’s healthcare sector.

What’s more, the innovative partnership comes as part of QFC’s strategies to promote the development of a knowledge-based and sustainable economy in the Arab country.
