INDIA – NATHEALTH has hired Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi as the company’s new President following the exit of Dr. Shravan Subramanyam.
NATHEALTH provides the optimum platform for stakeholders across various sectors to deliberate on alternate healthcare models and sustain the momentum gained by India in the areas of access, infrastructure, and digital health to achieve universal health coverage.
Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi brings a wealth of expertise and experience in the company’s operations, serving previously as NATHEALTH Senior Vice President (SVP) since April 2022.
Currently, the industry veteran serves as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fortis Healthcare, an Indian multinational chain of private hospitals.
His appointment comes amid senior leadership changes at NATHEALTH, an apex body representing the entire ecosystem of the Indian healthcare industry.
Other members of the newly elected NATHEALTH leadership team are Ameera Shah as SVP, Abhay Soi as Vice President, Shishir Agarwal as Secretary, and Visalakshi Chandramouli as Treasurer.
At the same time, NATHEALTH has selected Sunil Thakur, Partner at Quadria Capital Investment Management, to lead a special task force in setting up a separate NATHEALTH foundation.
Siddhartha Bhattacharya, Secretary General of NATHEALTH, will continue to lead and head the NATHEALTH secretariat. Moreover, he has led the operational arm since 2018.
In his role, Siddhartha Bhattacharya will be responsible for steering NATHEALTH into a robust platform for driving strategic partnerships and sectorial impact benefiting the entire health ecosystem.
Commenting on the leadership changes, the President of NATHEALTH, Dr. Raghuvanshi, stated: “Continuous efforts are required to address the barriers to access to quality healthcare, ensure last-mile reach of healthcare services and look at new alternative models to deliver healthcare services.”
He observed that over the past few years, there is growing confidence of the world in the Indian healthcare sector while emphasizing on the importance of capitalizing on the reputation.
“It is important to capitalize on the advantage India has gained and work towards further strengthening its position at a global level,” outlined Dr. Raghuvanshi.
India is known as the “world’s pharmacy” and meets a large portion of the medical needs of African nations. It is home to some of the fastest-growing pharmaceutical companies.
“NATHEALTH, over the last decade, has contributed considerably to India’s growing reputation by being an effective bridge between the industry and Government. We will continue to work towards making India Atmanirbhar in the coming years,” stated the newly appointed President.
