INDIA – CitiusTech Healthcare Technology has named Rajan Kohli as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following the exit of Bhaskar Sambasivan.

He succeeds Bhaskar Sambasivan, who is stepping down from the CEO role due to personal and family reasons.

The appointment of Kohli follows the regulatory approval of CitiusTech’s Board of Directors, the Indian healthcare technology firm said in a statement.

In his new role, the experienced technology executive will focus on the growth of CitiusTech in India as the company positions itself for future growth.

He will oversee the development of software and technology solutions for more than 140 leading healthcare and life sciences organizations.

Upon being notified of his appointment, Kohli said: “I am thrilled to join CitiusTech, a company that has built a strong foundation through dedicated client service and deep healthcare technology expertise.”

He underscored that CitiusTech has an outstanding, talented team and exceptional leadership coupled with a strong client portfolio and partner relationships.

He expressed his willingness to work closely with the CitiusTech team in India to accelerate the growth of the Indian firm and unlock additional value for its stakeholders.

With healthcare and life sciences industries undergoing massive digital transformation, we are well positioned to drive meaningful impact for organizations in the sector,” asserted Kohli.

Prior to his stint at CitiusTech, he served at Wipro, a global leader in technology services and solutions, for nearly 30 years.

He progressed through multiple leadership positions at Wipro, including Head of Banking & Financial Services and Chief Marketing Office.

Additionally, Kohli spearheaded initiatives that have enabled the Indian multinational corporation to snap up US$6 billion in annual revenues.

He also served as the President of the iDEAS (Integrated Digital, Engineering and Application Services) business, where he played a key role in supporting clients globally across industry segments.

Moreover, the incoming Chief Executive Officer founded and scaled Wipro Digital in the decade before taking over leadership of the iDEAS global business line.

Commenting on the leadership changes, Dr. William Winkenwerder, Chairman of CitiusTech, said: “Rajan is a proven leader with a breadth of business experience and a strong track record of driving transformation and scaling successful businesses.”

He underscored that the newly appointed CEO is expected to play a significant role in the organization’s next stage of development.

He brings tremendous leadership capabilities and expertise in digital, engineering and application services with an innovation-led approach to drive the next phase of growth for us,” stated Dr. Winkenwerder.
