INDIA – Dr. Lal PathLabs Limited, an Indian service provider of diagnostic and related healthcare tests, has selected American technology services company Kyndryl to manage its information technology (IT) infrastructure stack.
Kyndryl, the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider, provides a single pane view of server utilization, service requests, ticketing lifecycle, and incident analysis, and afterward recommends proactive remediation.
Its multi-cloud management solution leverages AI-based, cloud-hosted models to provide real-time metrics, events, logs, and traces related to reliability, performance, and availability.
In line with the agreement, Kyndryl will oversee the on-premises IT environment within Dr. Lal PathLabs alongside the latter’s cloud infrastructure across multiple cloud service providers.
The technology service company will tap into a broad set of technologies and skills, and strategic alliances with various cloud service providers in support of Dr. Lal PathLabs’ transformation goals.
The strategic deal will allow Dr. Lal PathLabs to meet cater to its growing customer base as well as facilitate the expansion of a range of diagnostic services as part of its digital transformation journey.
In addition, the partnership will help to improve service availability, enhance customer satisfaction while reducing IT incidents backlog across the healthcare enterprise by a substantial margin.
Dr. Lal PathLabs is India’s foremost network of diagnostics labs with 277 clinical labs, nearly 5,000 patient service centres, and over 10,599 pickup-up points offering various diagnostic services.
It has a robust network supported by a National Reference Laboratory in New Delhi, a Reference Laboratory in Kolkata, and 275 other clinical laboratories, backed by nearly 5,100 skilled manpower.
In addition to managing the healthcare company’s IT infrastructure stack, the recent strategic deal will build on the longstanding partnership between Dr. Lal PathLabs and Kyndryl.
Post onboarding, Kyndryl has been instrumental in managing the multiple cloud platforms that play a crucial role in Dr. Lal PathLabs’ digital transformation initiatives to drive business growth.
Dr. Lal PathLabs relied on Kyndryl’s technology expertise to make critical changes in its cloud infrastructure at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic to fulfill modifications as required by policymakers.
Moreover, Kyndryl-managed IT infrastructure hosts Dr. Lal PathLabs’ entire suite of enterprise applications, digital properties, and other utility tools allowing the latter to effectively provide best-of-class customer experience.
The technology services company also integrated compliance checks across the healthcare enterprise, which have helped achieve continuous compliance within Dr. Lal PathLabs’ cloud environment and security posture.
