INDIA – Lucknow-based health tech startup DocPlix has secured approximately US$610,220 in a Pre-Series A funding round, just one year after raising about US$256,300 in a seed round.
The recent funding round was led by Eris Lifesciences with the participation from several angel investors.
With the newly acquired funds, DocPlix plans to scale up research and development (R&D) activities and expand its operations in western, southern, and central India.
The healthtech firm intends to expand the current number of doctors onboard on its platform from over 2,000 doctors to include another 5,000 doctors through its speech-to-text EHR over the next ten months.
Spearheaded by Dr. Varun Garg, Aayush Garg, and Dr. Ajay Shukla, the Indian startup also plans to sell 5,000 licences of its medical algorithms-based chatbot Panini.
DocPlix will use the funds to reach its next growth milestone, with a focus on product development as well as growth into corporate and business-to-business products.
In addition, the Indian firm underscored that the DocPlix EHR system with its tech tools will create a smart network which can help in decreasing disease burden of India.
Doctors can use the platform to access Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products such as digital clinic management software.
Leveraging their SaaS based solutions, DocPlix helps doctors to take their practice digital by assisting them with clinical decision support, generating e-prescriptions and digitally managing the operations of their clinics.
The on-demand healthcare record provider allows doctors to launch preventive care programs like Diabetes Reversal, Obesity Reversal, PCOS/PCOD Reversal, etc. by providing them with online tools to provide 24/7hr guidance to their patients.
Founded in 2021, DocPlix aims to ease data exchange between doctors and their patients through DocPlix Rx, an electronic medical records system for clinics and hospitals.
According to the company statement, all the tools that are provided to doctors by DocPlix are connected to the patient’s application.
The startup enables patients access to online bookings, virtual care services with India’s best doctors at the comfort of their homes, alongside online medical record storage to keep a track of their health.
Moreover, the expansion plan aligns with DocPlix’s objective to build an ecosystem of patients, physicians, hospitals, medical equipment, insurance, and patient care service providers.
