Mumbai-based company Mpower has joined forces with Medix Global, a leading provider of innovative, high quality, medical management solutions, with an aim to boost access to mental health services in India through integrated and technologically advanced solutions.
The landmark deal between Mpower and Medix aims to reduce stigma around mental health and change the mental health dialogue in India while promoting new ways of getting help and support.
“The partnership brings a new, holistic approach to mental and emotional counselling and mentorship, specifically designed to reach the youth of the country,” Mpower announced on its site.
Founded by Dr. Neerja Birla for mental health awareness, Mpower brings together a strong force of over 600 experienced mental health professionals who offer world-class, scientifically proven intervention techniques impacting more than 121 million lives positively.
The initiative of Aditya Birla Education Trust is equipped with advanced set-up designed to provide patients and mental health professionals, safe and secure environment for mental health counselling needs.
It is a key leader in the mental health space in India with presence in 7 cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Pune together with Mpower Cells in Pilani, Goa, Kalyan, and Hyderabad.
Under the landmark deal, Medix India will bundle Mpower’s mental health services into its available care programs, offering its customers and partners access to Mpower clinics and virtual mental health services.
Commenting on the partnership, Founder Neerja Birla said: “The collaboration provides holistic solutions to patients who can now opt for physical and mental health services on one platform.”
She expressed her hopes that similar collaborations will mark a new chapter in the holistic healthcare management in India and provide equal importance to mental and physical health to encourage further research, engagement, accessibility and wipe of stigma associated to mental health.
