Induction of new board members at Kenya BioVax Institute

KENYA – Kenya BioVax Institute Limited (KBI) has welcomed two new members to its Board of Directors, marking a significant step in its mission to enhance public health in Kenya.

The newly inducted members, Mr. Edwin Bett from the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and Ms. Cheryl Majiwa, who serves as the alternate to the Principal Secretary at the National Treasury, bring a wealth of experience and expertise that is expected to strengthen KBI’s leadership.

The induction ceremony occurred at KBI’s headquarters in Nairobi, where an atmosphere of optimism prevailed. 

The event was characterized by discussions on the future direction of the institute and its commitment to improving health outcomes for Kenyans. 

“We are excited to have Mr. Bett and Ms. Majiwa on board. Their diverse backgrounds and skills will be instrumental in guiding our strategic initiatives,” said Dr. John Mwangi, KBI’s Chief Executive Officer.

 His background at KEMRI, a leading research institution, positions him well to contribute to KBI’s objectives.

“It is vital that we approach our work with integrity and a commitment to serving the community. Together, we can create a healthier future for all Kenyans,” she remarked. 

Her experience in the National Treasury will provide valuable insights into the financial aspects of KBI’s operations, ensuring that the institute can effectively allocate resources toward its initiatives.
