ZIMBABWE—Ivory Medical has officially launched its medicinal cannabis line, CannaQure, in Harare, marking a significant milestone in Zimbabwe’s healthcare landscape.
The new product range offers patients alternative treatments that complement traditional medicine while prioritizing safety and quality.
Nash Kadzinga, General Manager of Ivory Medical, announced the launch, emphasizing that CannaQure products are crafted with precision to meet the stringent regulations of the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe.
“These products, which are rich in cannabinoids, primarily Cannabidiol (CBD), are designed to provide alternative healthcare options that enhance wellness and relieve symptoms alongside traditional treatments,” Kadzinga said.
Dr. Zorodzai Maroveke, President of the Cannabis Industry Association of Zimbabwe, highlighted the larger significance of this launch.
She stated that it positions Zimbabwe at the forefront of an evolving field, promising not only new treatment options but also economic growth, scientific research, and job creation.
She commended Ivory Medical for its pioneering spirit and dedication, describing the company’s efforts as a reflection of Zimbabwe’s commitment to innovation.
CannaQure includes a diverse range of cannabis-based therapeutic products developed to support individuals dealing with chronic pain, stress, sleep issues, and more.
The product line features high-quality CBD oils sourced from locally cultivated cannabis, using clean Supercritical Carbon Dioxide extraction methods to ensure purity and potency.
To meet varied patient needs, the oils are offered in two primary forms: an Isolate Form containing no THC and a Full Spectrum Form that includes minor cannabinoids and terpenes for those seeking the enhanced “entourage effect.”
Kadzinga also emphasized that Ivory Medical’s mission goes beyond product development, focusing on patient education, transparency, and quality.
“We believe CannaQure can lead a new era of healthcare in Zimbabwe, empowering patients with the choice of natural remedies to enhance their wellness,” he added.
To ensure ease of use, CannaQure oils are administered sublingually, bypassing the liver for faster absorption and better bioavailability. This method offers a convenient option for patients managing their health and seeking prompt relief.
In addition to its product offerings, Ivory Medical is committed to advancing research in medical cannabis, with the goal of providing Zimbabweans with reliable, evidence-based insights into the benefits of cannabinoid therapies.
Kadzinga highlighted the importance of consulting healthcare providers knowledgeable in cannabis treatment, ensuring safe and effective care for patients.
Dr. Maroveke, an integral member of Ivory Medical’s medical team, reiterated the company’s commitment to quality and safety.
She explained that every CannaQure product embodies rigorous research, precision, and a profound understanding of patient needs.
With this launch, Ivory Medical not only aims to improve individual health outcomes but also contribute to Zimbabwe’s progress in the field of medicinal cannabis.
