SAUDI ARABIA – The Joint Commission International (JCI) has inaugurated a new office in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) as it expands its presence in the Middle East and Africa.

The Joint Commission Saudi Arabia office will be managed by Murat Kucukkaya, Managing Director at JCI for the Middle East and Africa business.

JCI works with international healthcare organizations, public health agencies, health ministries and other bodies in more than 100 countries.

Based in Riyadh, JCI Arabia will be staffed and serviced by local staff to continue helping to improve the quality of patient care and to support its growth journey in the region.

The opening of the new office in Riyadh reiterates the Joint Commission International’s commitment to improving healthcare in KSA and across the Middle East region.

With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector across the Middle East, JCI has expanded its geographic reach in the region with offices in Dubai, and now Riyadh.

In 2006, JCI opened its regional headquarters office in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. It accredits more than 400 healthcare organizations in the Middle East and Africa – with 27% of these organizations located in Saudi Arabia.

In addition to the Middle East, JCI has a regional presence in North and South America, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Europe.

The new office in Riyadh will continue Joint Commission International’s work to improve safety and quality of care will help contribute to the local community.

JCI Arabia will work closely with hospitals, ambulatory care facilities and health systems in Riyadh and beyond to help achieve and sustain performance excellence of the international body.

As the leading international accrediting body, JCI accreditation and recognition marks excellence for measuring safety and quality of care provided by a healthcare organization.

To achieve JCI accreditation, an organization must undergo a rigorous performance assessment against a set of robust international standards.

JCI also provides advisory services to help organizations improve through practical, evidence-based solutions.
