KENYA – The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has appointed Dr. Kelly Oluoch to succeed Prof Michael Kiptoo as the corporation’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

KMTC is a State Corporation, established through an Act of Parliament under the Ministry of Health, mandated with the role of training various disciplines in the health sector to serve the Kenyan interests, East Africa and beyond.

The College has 72 Campuses strategically located in various parts of the country headed by a Chairperson whose role is to provide overall leadership and direction of the College as well as oversight on all management operations.

The new KMTC CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch is a season leader who served as the Deputy Director of Finance, Planning, and Administration at the College prior to his recent appointment.

Dr. Oluoch previously served as Principal of the Lake Victoria and Kisumu Campuses, Deputy Head of Pharmacy Department and Head of Pharmacy Department at the Machakos Campus as well as Deputy Principal and Head of Pharmacy Department in the college.

He served as Pharmacist in Charge at Marsabit District Hospital and various capacities at Kenya Medical Research Institute before his employment at the Kenya Medical Training College.

Moreover, Dr Oluoch holds a Doctorate in Business Administration with a Strategic Management option from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Science (MSc) in Biotechnology, Innovation and Regulatory Pharmacy from Purdue University.

The leadership experience demonstrated by the newly appointed CEO is expected to bring more innovative and sustainable ideas which will lead the Kenya Medical Training College to greater heights.

KMTC Chairperson of the Board of Directors Ambassador Zachary Muburi-Muita applauded Dr. Oluoch for coming out on top in a panel of more than 66 candidates while expressing his confidence in Dr. Oluoch’s capability to transform the college endowed with brilliant minds to greater heights.

Terry Ramadhani named as Kenya Medical Supplies Authority’s new CEO

Meanwhile, The Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) has hired the agency’s former board member Terry Kiunge Ramadhani as the new Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect

Terry Ramadhani is a notable Human Resource (HR) veteran with over 19 years of experience, a certified project management professional and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

She also holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool, Adaptive Leadership Certification from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Education from Kenyatta University.

In addition, Terry has held several strategic and leadership positions in the public and private health sectors including serving as the Aga Khan University Director Academy HR and Global Change.
