EGYPT— L’Oréal Egypt, through its global brand La Roche-Posay, has announced a new collaboration with the Baheya Foundation to launch the “Fight with Care” program.

This initiative is specifically designed to support women undergoing cancer treatment by offering a comprehensive approach that integrates psychological, emotional, and physical care.

The “Fight with Care” program’s primary goal is to establish and equip a training room within Baheya Hospital’s Sheikh Zayed branch.

This space will host various workshops and training sessions, including makeup tutorials, benefiting 1,000 patients annually.

Additionally, the program will provide essential products to patients while also raising awareness among families, patients, and healthcare providers about the importance of holistic care during cancer treatment.

The partnership was officially inaugurated during a signing ceremony held at the Baheya Foundation Hospital in Sheikh Zayed City.

The event was attended by senior management from both L’Oréal Egypt and the Baheya Foundation, along with distinguished media partners.

Attendees had the opportunity to tour the facility and celebrate the official opening of the newly established training room, which will serve Baheya patients.

This program will offer in-person training sessions, as well as access to a dedicated website, cancer-support.com, available in Arabic, which will provide valuable knowledge and information to patients and their families.

Recognizing the critical importance of mental health and well-being during the challenging journey of cancer treatment, the Baheya Foundation has been steadfast in its commitment to supporting women battling cancer since its inception in 2015.

The foundation’s efforts extend beyond medical care, offering essential emotional and psychological support that empowers women to face their challenges with strength and resilience.

La Roche-Posay, a brand with a long history of supporting cancer patients, has been actively involved in providing care for over 25 years.

The brand’s efforts include the La Roche-Posay Thermal Center in France, where the brand originated.

This thermal center has welcomed thousands of cancer patients and marked the beginning of La Roche-Posay’s supportive care initiatives, which have since expanded through scientific innovations, awareness campaigns, and training programs.

Expressing his enthusiasm about the collaboration, Dave Hughes, Managing Director of L’Oréal Egypt, emphasized the company’s belief in the power of beauty to uplift and empower.

He noted that L’Oréal is committed to partnering with like-minded organizations to help women overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Hughes also highlighted the synergy between La Roche-Posay’s expertise and the Baheya Foundation’s dedication, stating that their combined efforts will make a meaningful impact on the lives of those fighting cancer.

He looks forward to the positive outcomes this collaboration will bring and reaffirmed L’Oréal Egypt’s mission to empower women.

Dr. Jaylan Ahmed, CEO of the Baheya Foundation, echoed this sentiment, expressing excitement about working together to support the brave women battling cancer at Baheya.

He emphasized that the collaboration is designed to provide the emotional and physical support necessary for women to overcome this challenge.

Dr. Ahmed reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to caring for breast cancer survivors, offering them the psychological and emotional strength they need to continue their treatment.

He added that, in partnership with L’Oréal, they plan to organize a variety of activities such as trips, birthday celebrations, art workshops, and beauty treatments to uplift patients’ spirits throughout their journey.

Sandrine Japhet-Sibboni, General Manager at LDB, further elaborated on the initiative, stating that La Roche-Posay recognizes the importance of caring for the skin of those undergoing cancer treatment.

This understanding is central to the decision to launch the ‘Fight with Care’ program in Egypt, in collaboration with the Baheya Foundation.

She emphasized that the initiative goes beyond raising awareness; it is about delivering tangible support through workshops, training sessions, and psychological care.

Japhet-Sibboni concluded by reaffirming their commitment to helping women regain their confidence and feel empowered throughout their cancer journey.
